Calvin Harris is back, baby! A save-the-date event in the party calendar, Calvin Harris' opening at Ushuaïa took place on Friday night and of course, we had to get in on the action.

Returning to Ushuaïa, we geared up for an astounding show of lights, pyrotechnics and high-tech visuals. Boy, did the creative masterminds of The Night League deliver.

The festival-like experience continued in the crowd, all 7000 of them, with tickets selling-out in advance. Chatting to people around us, fans had travelled from far and wide be amongst the madness at Calvin Harris' first Ibiza show of the summer.

Calvin Harris | Ushuaïa

Residents MK and Tyson O'Brien, as well as special guest Ewan McVicar, joined Calvin Harris for Friday's opening. It's safe to say that there was no shortage of explosive tunes. The following 13 weeks are sure to follow suit.

Direct from the dancefloor, here are some of the hottest track drops from Calvin Harris' opening party.

01. Ewan McVicar | Tell Me Something Good | Trick
played by Ewan McVicar

Having vowed that breakthrough release Tell Me Something Good had made its last live appearance, Friday's Balearic sunshine must have put the Scotsman in generous spirits and he treated the crowd to a sing-along moment.

Transitioned between Daft Punk's Technologic and Armand Van Helden's You Don’t Know Me, this was a curveball drop for sure.

02. HoneyLuv & Seth Troxler feat Paul Johnson | Sex & The City (MK Remix) | Tuskegee
played by MK

As the sun set over the mighty Ushuaïa stage, MK stepped up to the booth. Amongst his classic summer hits, his recent remix of Sex & The City was a stand out play.

Building on the existing groove, MK slapped his own flavours of Detroit onto the mix with shiny synth stabs and a steady bassline so good, that it's a wonder the aeroplanes flying overhead didn't do a U-turn for the dancefloor!

03. Calvin Harris | Feels So Close | Sony
played by Calvin Harris

18 Months really was the album that catapulted Calvin Harris into the star-studded stratosphere and over a decade since its release, the man himself still credits single Feel So Close as the clincher.

Ushauaïa's party people chanted Calvin's self-sung lyrics back to him in unison before letting into a dance frenzy on the synth surged breaks. CO2 cannons and lasers were at the ready for this one to drop!

04. BURNS | Talamanca | FFRR
played by Calvin Harris

Onto a certified Ibiza anthem next, Talamanca never fails to stun with its electrifying energy, modular strings and ethereal vocals. Named after the Ibizan beach and encapsulating pure island euphoria, this was a fitting selection from Calvin Harris for his return to the White Isle for the summer. An ode to all of the memories he's provided us with over the years.

05. Calvin Harris | Miracle (Hardwell Remix) | Sony
played by Calvin Harris

Only one track could make the closing of Calvin Harris' opening party truly colossal. Of course, it's his latest mega-hit Miracle with Ellie Goulding. For this occasion, Hardwell's official remix of the heavenly dance anthem was the version chosen.

The bouncing sea of partygoers obeyed Calvin's command to throw their hands up in the air for the final drop. In extravagant Ushuaïa fashion, the stage exploded with confetti, flames and strobe lights galore. What a way to close out the night.
