Away from its religious connotations, Easter is symbolic of new beginnings. As we pass the spring equinox and clocks move forward to summertime, it seems an appropriate juncture to look ahead to the Easter break and all the partying it entails.
In Spain, we get three days of public holidays over Easter (6, 7 and 10 April). If that's not an excuse for a dance, then we don't know what is. Since many of us who live here will be working all summer long, you bet we'll be making the most of things before the main influx of tourists.
But enough talking. Let's get take a closer look at all the clubbing going on this Easter.

6 April | Maundy Thursday
Sven Väth presents We Only Come Out At Night (& Day)
Las Dalias & Akasha | 19:00 - 05:00
We start in the north and it's a biggie. Sven Väth thrilled us twice in this day-to-night format last summer. Anybody who attended either of those will have scrambled for tickets this time, as well as any friends they told about it afterwards.
Coming five days after Time Warp Mannheim, we can imagine Sven to be in an inspired mood. Magic guaranteed. What an early-season treat. The bad news is it's almost entirely sold out. However, we have just added a handful more garden-only tickets (19:00 to 23:00).
Unfortunately, there will be zero tickets held back for the door. The only silver lining is that Sven's second date on 1 June still has some availability - just! That will go the same way in the aftermath of this Easter edition, believe us. MORE INFO & BUY TICKETS
BOHO Experience | The Full Moon Reunion
Club Chinois | 23:45 - 05:00
Down in Ibiza Town, Camilo Franco and Nadja serve up a right treat as Club Chinois launches its run of pre-season parties. Syncing to the lunar cycle, BOHO Experience is a periodical party and lifestyle brand that has amassed a loyal following.
Also on the bill are hybrid performer SanRa, who comes Ibiza Spotlight-approved, Marco Tegui, Filipa Lazary and special guest Unders. Expect a gorgeous crowd and deep, nomadic House music of the highest order. Boho-glam dress code compulsory. MORE INFO & BUY TICKETS
7 April | Good Friday
Melon Bomb On The Beach
Tanit Beach Ibiza | 14:00 - 23:59
When they're not tearing the roof off Hï Ibiza's toilets or Freddies disco at Pikes, Melon Bomb can be found lazing on the beach... yeah, right! As has become tradition, the fun-loving House quartet start their monthly residency on the sands of Playa d'en Bossa at Easter.
This one is free, but to be in the thick of the action, hiring a bed or making a dinner reservation secure the best seats in the place. Even once bookings are full, you can bring a blanket and soak up the atmosphere from the comfort of the beach. MORE INFO
Funky Aura Ibiza
Akasha | 23:00 - 05:00
Boutique nightclub Akasha keeps its weekend programme going with a line-up of Ibiza favourites. Mr Doris, Andy Baxter and Paul Powell will ensure this is a top night musically, that won't break the bank at only €15 in pre-sale. MORE INFO & BUY TICKETS
Renaissance
Club Chinois | 23:45 - 05:00
We return to Ibiza Marina for the next in Club Chinois' pre-season parties. This time is Geoff Oakes' seminal party series Renaissance. Back in its heyday, Renaissance was responsible for helping the likes of Sasha and John Digweed on their way to super-stardom.
The party and its associated label have evolved down the years, but fans of the original will still find the music right up their street. The line-up is pretty impressive too, with Afterlife regular Denis Horvat and Innervisions affiliate Trikk supported by Clint Lee. Renaissance is reborn.
Saturday 8 April
HOSH
Akasha | 23:00 - 05:00
Last seen in this neck of this woods taking us into the New Year, HOSH is back at Akasha this Easter. The fryhide label boss is joined in the booth by Vite for a night of emotive strings and often euphoric, occasionally pumping dance music. MORE INFO & BUY TICKETS
TRIP
Club Chinois | 23:45 - 05:00
You may or may not recognise his face, but Johannes Goller is one of the men pulling the strings behind some of Ibiza's biggest parties. Most recently he's found success with oenophile barbecue Cuts & Wine, but now he's returning to a club setting with TRIP.
The first of three April dates at Club Chinois sees Apollonia member Dan Ghenacia headline. He plays alongside Tuccillo, Cesar Vinzent and Isbel for a night of Deep-Tech groovers. With Johannes' party pedigree and these talented DJs, this one will be a cracker.
Ibiza Talents
Eden | 23:59 - 06:00
If you've been thinking things have been a bit quiet over the west side, we concur. Fortunately, Eden remedies that on Saturday night with the return of island-based Ibiza Talents. Ibiza 1995-producer Daniel Orpi and elrow resident De La Swing are the big names for this one.
Let's show the rest of the island why San Antonio can still hang with the best of them.
9 April | Easter Sunday
Ethereal Art Lab Festival
Las Dalias & Akasha | 12:00 - 03:00
We arrive on Easter Sunday itself and the exchanging of chocolate eggs. Yum. Something else delicious comes in the form of Ethereal, which is back at Las Dalias with a special Easter edition. Like usual, entry to the garden is free and you are welcome to stroll around the market stalls, eat and enjoy the acoustic, electronic and sometimes hybrid live music. Children welcome.
Then at 21:00, the action moves inside for the adult-only club section of the party until the early hours. Ethereal is a chance to see Las Dalias in full bloom - and what better time than at Easter?
La Troya
Club Chinois | 23:45 - 05:00
The extended weekend is almost at a close (although at least we have Monday off for some much-needed rest and recuperation!) One final trip to Ibiza Marina comes courtesy of those outrageous queens at La Troya.
Baby Marcelo and friends invite you to decadent Club Chinois for a night of underground dance music and mischief. Brazilian firecracker Kerol Garcia joins resident DJs Oscar Colardo and Carl Kennedy. This isn't one for the shy or retiring!
That's about it, for Easter at least. Plenty to get stuck into before summer begins for real. On the subject of summer, the Ibiza season boots off for 2023 less than three weeks later. It'll be here before you know it.
For anybody feeling a little out of practice, Easter is the ideal opportunity to test your match fitness and get back into the groove.
Whether you're here over that period or later in the year, head to our party calendar for an overview of all confirmed clubbing activities. For cultural happenings and other goings on, check out our equally useful, but slightly more pedestrian event calendar. Happy Easter!
