If you've ever wondered why it's so easy to fall in love with Ibiza, you just need to come to the night market at Las Dalias on Sunday evenings. Wander up through the market to the garden terrace where Akasha host its own night: Nido.
First, the market is just gorgeous: awash in colour from the setting sun, full of trinkets, fashion, jewellery and with an authentic hippy vibe.
Then you have the crowd: eclectic doesn't even begin to describe this wonderful mix of nationalities, ages and cultures. Locals, tourists, kids, grandparents; everyone in a mishmash of styles – no dress code needed, none wanted. And then, the music.
Igor Marijuán, Sena and the team have invited some incredible artists to play the sunset set on the garden terrace. Nearly always with live musical accompaniment, the groovy, electronic beats just entice you to step up and dance, along with everyone else.
Don't be shy, no one else is.
If you like Burning Man, Tulum, open-air parties, sunset terraces or simply living in the moment and forgetting life's worries for a few hours – do yourself a favour and make sure you visit at least one Nido. This is the true spirit of Ibiza.
Of course, there's no need to stop when the music ends outside, because the club Akasha opens where the same artists play until the early hours of the morning. Entry is €15, when buying your ticket in advance, exclusively via Ibiza Spotlight - probably the best value night on the island.
