Last week, Team Spotlight were invited down to San Antonio to check out the town’s latest culinary escapade - oriental inspired haven, Chi Kee Wun.
Quick and witty with the name, the team behind O Beach have turned a prime location corner into an authentic eastern oasis - a fusion dining spot like no other.
Only having opened its doors to the public a few weeks ago, the al fresco restaurant has already got people talking and has made quite the name for itself.
CUISINE
With the waitresses just as passionate about the menu as the chefs, we got recommended some incredible plates from their a la carte menu.
Boasting all of your favourite Chinese dishes, from crispy duck pancakes to prawn toast, Dim Sum to crispy Wagyu beef, noodles and stir fries, the food was incredible and resembled a genuine, high-quality cuisine you’d only find in the depths of Eastern Asia.
By far some of the best Chinese food any of us had ever eaten, the presentation, far-eastern flavours and generous portions had us all in mouthwatering awe.
As well as this, we sampled a selection of signature and classic cocktails that complemented our plates perfectly and were presented with pizzazz. Made with love and attention to detail, these were the absolute finishing touch to a meal that exceeded even the highest of standards.

Located in the hustle and bustle, its sleek, covert setting makes you feel you’re in the abyss of a Chinese forest.
Boasting an undisputed eastern feel but within a modern stylish setting, the O Beach creatives really know how to fuse together the past and present in a contemporary (and very Instagramable way). Chi Kee Wun’s unique decor and seductive lighting creates the perfect setting for you to get glammed up and take some beautiful pictures.
Each table setting is unique and somewhat sequestered from one another. Choose from a two person table, to the large circular booths big enough to fit 10+ people.
All of this whilst you dine to the deep, progressive sounds of sensual house music - the sexy, sophisticated vibes that San Antonio seemed to be missing all this time.
