What a start to summer it has been. Even the biggest optimist couldn't have foreseen how amazing the parties are. Now that the individual club opening parties are (almost) out of the way, we turn our attention to a stream of weekly residencies which now begin to open.
While a handful have already been underway for several weeks (ANTS, Black Coffee, Glitterbox, Defected, Music On and The Masquerade), one-by-one the rest will start.
We're shifting our focus this week. Those parties mentioned above are already flying. Their momentum will carry on through this weekend and all summer long. There's a reason why they can start earlier than everybody else - reputation and popularity.
That said, there's plenty more exciting parties that are gearing up to open this weekend.
elrow | Amnesia
After three successful seasons at Amnesia, elrow is back at the club for a total of 19 dates, starting Saturday 28 May. Renowned for its crazy productions, abundance of colour, confetti and elaborate performances, the show's DNA is truly one of a kind.
For 2022, elrow is turning it up yet another notch and making this year the biggest so far.
Opening the extravaganza and setting the tone are two of the biggest names in electronic music. Kölsch will be headlining The Terrace, while Ilario Alicante goes all night long in The Club - insane. The theme is the fairytale-like El Bowsque Enchantado. BUY TICKETS
Release | Es Paradis
Studio 338's new day-to-night venture, Release, hits the White Isle for the first time on Friday 27 May and will be a debut you don't want to miss.
Get lost and immerse yourselves in the magical grounds of open-top palace, Es Paradis. You'll find yourself dazzled by the venue, let alone the line-up assembled for you. Doing everything differently from every other party on the island, this has all the ingredients to be very special.
Whether you're eager to get on a dancefloor at midday, come after lunch, arrive at 19:00 or rock up at 22:00, Release is bringing the old school daytime vibes. BUY TICKETS

Woomoon & Storytellers | Cova Santa
Cova Santa was one of a few venues that managed to operate last summer, albeit in a seated format. While that scratched an itch, we've been longing for it to reopen with a proper dancefloor. We finally get the opportunity this weekend, with not one but two of its flagship parties.
Both overseen by creative entity LunArts, Woomoon takes place on Friday 27 May, which is also Cova Santa's opening party, and Storytellers on Sunday 29 May. BUY TICKETS
This pair of vibrant, theatrical and immersive parties really capture outdoor Cova Santa in all its glory. Proceedings start outside under the sky at 17:00, before moving to the downstairs club at midnight. DJs Anastascia, Oliver Koletzki, Valentín Huedo, Guy Laliberté all feature.
Cuckoo land | Ibiza Rocks
Cuckoo Land is back on Friday 27 May, going full-steam-ahead for summer 2022.
Cuckoo Land has made quite a name for itself over the last few years. It has made Friday daytimes its own at Ibiza Rocks. This is the perfect party for all you free-spirited clubbers out there, seeking a little piece of utopia at one of the island's most loved venues.
This year, the weekly line-ups are huge! New 2022 resident, Jess Bays fronts the pool party each and every week alongside her sidekick SUAT. They will be joined by Tough Love, Sammy Porter and DAYL for the opening party. BUY TICKETS
Encore | Octan Ibiza
By the end of the weekend, only the hardcore contingent will still be standing. For those that still have the gusto, Octan Ibiza's Sunday night party ENCORE boots off. The opening night is being taken care of by Traumer who invites Romanian selectors Raresh, Priku and Gescu to join him.
If the line-ups are anything to go by, then this is one of Octan's strongest parties this summer. We couldn't think of a better chance to see the underground club in its full potential. For those that like their beats rolling and minimal with a whole lot of groove, this is unmissable.
Soul Heaven | O Beach
Since 2012, Soul Heaven has graced Ibiza with the best soulful, smooth and seductive grooves each and every Saturday from poolside at O Beach.
28 May sees the party back at its seafront headquarters to mark the start of the 2022 season, as well as celebrating 10 years in the making. From 13:00 onwards, kick-back on a bed or dance until your heels fall off, to the sexy sounds of Tom Crane, Grant Collins and Super Lover.
Children of the 80s | Hard Rock Hotel
Fancy a bit of light relief? Or maybe you just want to sing along to music you know to your heart's content? Well in that case, Children of the 80s fits the bill. Featuring stacks of cheesy tunes from back in the day and an up-for-it crowd, Hard Rock Hotel's single weekly party is a whole lot of unashamed fun.
