Since the 2019 season wrapped, there has been one lingering question on the lips of the Ibizan clubbing community: What will become of the beloved HEART club/restaurant that produced so many memorable nights? Well, the answer is no longer a secret. Island Hospitality, the team behind London’s iconic nightspot Park Chinois, are bringing their decadent, 1920's inspired, concept to the island in the form of Club Chinois.
Promising a 'sensorial feast', the club has been completely reimagined from top to bottom, with inspiration taken from the iniquitous jazz clubs found in Shanghai in that bygone era. The elegant and sumptuous interior will transport guests to a unique nexus of East and West, where the hedonistic heritage of both hemispheres will converge, creating the island’s most opulent venue.
With no expense spared on the renovation, can we expect a similar investment in the entertainment on display? Will the talent match the curtains so to speak? Club Chinois promises to be a home for superstar DJ headliners, rubbing shoulders with a roster of acclaimed, home-grown talent. Having been given a sneak peek at some of the names on the roster, we can honestly say they will! Watch this space for the up-to-date news as it is revealed.
Upstairs, on the al fresco roof terrace, will be a southern outpost of London’s famous Zuma restaurant. Offering yet more eastern influence, diners can enjoy authentic and sophisticated Japanese cuisine, served against the stunning backdrop of the marina and Ibiza’s old town, Dalt Vila. After dinner, they will be welcomed to join the fun in the club below.
Prepping to open this summer, the new team behind Club Chinois are buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm for the new project. They firmly believe they have the calibre of acts and performers to deliver a truly unique and unforgettable nightlife experience in this beautiful venue. We await the opening night with a real sense of anticipation to see how it unfolds.
