Simon Dunmore honoured at this year's IMS Legends Dinner

Coinciding with Defected Records multi-club weekender.

International Music Summit will recognise and pay tribute to Defected founder Simon Dunmore at this year's IMS Legends Dinner.

Simon, who announced his intention to retire from DJing at the end of the year, has taken his label from independent start-up to global force.

Aside from signing and developing talent, the industry veteran has blazed a trail through the music business. From throwing parties to broadcasting, there's few roles he hasn't tried his hand at.

The decision to bestow the honour on Simon coincides with Defected Records multi-club weekender, which takes place from Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May.

The opening night of the label's Eden residency, as well as Octan and Amnesia host parties. The height of the weekend will be the outdoor takeover of medieval fortress Dalt Vila on Saturday night.

Before all the fun begins, the celebratory dinner takes place at Casa Maca on Wednesday 27 April and features live performance, entertainment and a charity fundraiser.

Tickets are sold out for the dinner, but fortunately remain on sale for Defected's Dalt Vila party.

Head here to join Simon, Honey Dijon, Danny Tenaglia, Bob Sinclar, Louie Vega and Natasha Diggs in the Old Town.
