With travel restrictions easing and the White Isle preparing to welcome international visitors once more, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Not only for all of those who have been dreaming of returning to Ibiza, but especially the thousands of medical frontline workers who have working tirelessly for the past 14 months to save lives.
Ibiza-born charity Together For Healthcare Heroes has made it their mission to treat thousands of medical staff from all over Europe and the UK to a free holiday on the island, as well as other European destinations and the Middle East.
Since the campaign launch during the summer of 2020, the T4HH team has been working hard to find accommodation options including private villas and hotel rooms, and raise funds for further essentials such as flights and travel insurance - with many of Ibiza’s biggest hospitality and nightlife brands stepping up to support this great cause.
And this week, the charity has finally announced the dates for when the first Healthcare Heroes will be able to go on their well-deserved, free holiday on Ibiza! Under the name ‘Ibiza Healthcare Heroes Weeks’, the first beneficiaries of this amazing initiative will be welcomed on the island between October 2nd and October 16th 2021.
With so many deserving medical staff having applied for a free Healthcare Hero holiday, T4HH is still looking for further accommodation options. Let’s all dig deep and show these amazing keyworkers that their continued efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic have been noticed and appreciated, and 2021 a year they will always remember - for all the right reasons!
