Ibiza entertainment options May & June 2021

Places to go while the island slowly wakes up.

Got a holiday to Ibiza booked for May or June? Good stuff! The island is slowly awakening from hibernation, Covid restrictions are being eased step by step, restaurants and bars are open all day now and the beaches look gorgeous.

Now, if you wanted to come to Ibiza to go clubbing, you may have read that Ibiza's famous nightlife most probably won't be back before July at the earliest. But... where to go if you still want to hear some good tunes while having a few drinks?

We've compiled a list for you with places that are already open (or just about to open), that provide music and a good vibe. Please keep in mind, dance floors are currently off-limits, so here are the spots where you get a chilled atmosphere in great surroundings.

Beach clubs

In Playa d'en BossaNassau Beach Club, Beachouse as well as Coco Beach Ibiza are open. Bora Bora is set to open on 19 May.

Further south on Las Salinas beach, Jockey Club, Beso Beach are open already and Sa Trinxa opens 14 May.

Tropicana Beach in Cala Jondal opens on 14 May as well.

Over in Cala Tarida, Cotton Beach Club has also recently reopened.

Alma Eat Is Life on Port d'es Torrent beach is open too and normally has DJs Thursday to Sunday.

Nikki Beach Ibiza close to Santa Eulalia opens on 27 May.

Atzaro Beach in Cala Nova opens 14 May.

Amante in Sol d'en Serra opens on 26 May and its sister venue Aiyanna in Cala Nova two days later, on 28 May.

Sunset spots

The famous sunset bars on Ses Variades (also known as the 'Sunset Strip') in San Antonio aren't open just yet, but here's a choice of places that are open:

Experimental Beach Ibiza at Cap d'es Falcó is a good choice for people staying in Playa d'en Bossa or Ibiza Town.

Hostal La Torre in Cap Negret, outside of San Antonio, has a DJ soundtracking the sunset every evening.

Golden Buddha in Caló des Moro, San Antonio, is open as well.

In the bay of San Antonio, Kumharas is set to open 14 May.

Sunset Ashram in Cala Conta as well as Cala Escondida close by are another two great spots that are already open.

Venues

Apart from all those spots on the coast, here are other venues that also provide entertainment while we await the safe reopening of the nightlife here on Ibiza:

Pikes Hotel outside of San Antonio opens on 20 May. Its legendary Pikes On Sunday events start on 23 May.

Lío restaurant & cabaret opens 26 May - reservation absolutely essential.

O Beach Ibiza and its neighbour Bam-Bu-Ku will open on 4 June.

Ibiza Rocks Hotel reopens 15 June.

Las Dalias in San Carlos is running its hippy market on Saturday daytime (of course also with music) and Sundays are all about Igor Marijuan's Pareidolia Music events.

Chirincana Beach Bar in Cala Martina has DJs and/or live music on most afternoons/evenings.

Raco Ibiza on the old road to San Mateo is another tip for an afternoon in the sun and some music played by either DJs or live musicians on the weekends.

Social Point Ibiza on the road to San José is - as the name says - another place to get social. They've got DJs and/or live music from Thursday to Sunday.

Further along on the same road to San José you've got Can Jordi which sometimes has impromptu live blues and rock music, and in the center of San José there's Racó Verd which also has live music every now and then.

Disclaimer: this list may not be complete and it is to the best of our knowledge. Expect a lot of other places to open up soon.
