Ibiza club rewind | Hï Ibiza

The best sets from years gone by.

Comparatively speaking, Hï Ibiza is a newcomer on Ibiza's decorated clubbing landscape. Not that you would know it. The island's newest club has wasted no time in making an impression.

Hï Ibiza might only have been open for five summers (2017 - 2019, 2022 and 2023), but we couldn't possibly imagine Ibiza without her now.

The Night League (TNL), the team behind the venue, has its finger firmly on the pulse. The programme is always ahead of the curve, the production industry-leading and the delivery executed with military precision. What is it about Hï Ibiza that captures the imagination so?

Perhaps it's the high-spec Theatre, reconfigured for each party? Maybe it's the weekly line-up, packed top to bottom with A-listers? Or could it be, that TNL tore up the rule book and set about creating the club of the future with the next generation of clubbers as its target audience?

The reality is, it's all of those things and plenty more.

As our Ibiza club rewind series docks in Playa d'en Bossa, we turn the spotlight to Hï Ibiza. As feels appropriate, we shine the light on each of the three rooms.

Black Coffee | The Theatre | 25 August 2018

South African Nkosinathi Maphumulo was the first of Hï Ibiza's residents to be unveiled in the run-up to the 2017 season.

After some critically acclaimed appearances at DC10 the previous summer and a growing profile, Black Coffee was certainly on the ascent. Even so, it was a signing that took many off guard.

With his blend of atmospheric House and stately guests, Black Coffee quickly turned himself into the island's Mr Saturday Night. Watch our host command The Theatre above, with music coming from Eelke Kleijn, Art Department and London Grammar.

Paco Osuna presents Now Here | Club Room | 2023

Paco Osuna is a DJ who earned his stripes - a reliable pair of hands who could always be tasked with getting the top done. But was he ever consider a ticket-seller in his own right? Possibly not. But then TNL saw something that everybody else had missed and moved for their man in 2022.

He was installed as room two host on Tuesdays. Could he pull his own crowd? Would he complement The Martinez Brothers next door? Yes and yes and resoundingly so. Calm and collected, but bringing thunderous beats, Paco made the Club Room his own.

Above, enjoy music, including Paco Osuna's own collaborations with the likes of Manu Gonzalez, Fer BR and Blackchild.

Melon Bomb at Glitterbox | The Wild Corner | 2022

Perhaps not so much a secret anymore as it once was, the Wild Corner is still capable of surprising first-time visitors! Hï Ibiza's high-tech toilet rave reimagines what it means to "take a comfort break" - and, yes, the W.C. initials are very deliberate.

For the true Wild Corner experience, look no further than Glitterbox. The famed Sunday night takes things to new levels and the vibe in the toilets is electric. Our very own homegrown Melon Bomb are often on hand for it - and the dastardly foursome always deliver.

This recording features music from Butch, Dirty Secretz and is filled with plenty of Disco edits.

Fast-forward

Unflinching from its vision, Hï Ibiza has made zero changes from last year's successful campaign. Remember, the club picked up the decorated top spot in DJ Mag's annual Top 100 Clubs poll for the second year running.

Eric PrydzThe Martinez Brothers, FISHER, Afterlife, David Guetta, Black Coffee and Glitterbox are once again the faces and brands taking care of business from Monday to Sunday.

Even the room two hosts stay the same, as Patrick Topping, Paco Osuna, Vintage Culture, Meduza & James Hype and Damian Lazarus are also all invited back. It's highly unusual to see such consistency from one summer to the next, which tells you everything you need to know.
