This weekend's essential listening is an absolute aural feast for lovers of both techno and wildlife conservation.
Non-profit organisation Music Against Animal Cruelty (MAAC) and online dance music store Beatport have just announced the incredible line-up for their ‘Wild Digital' livestream marathon on Saturday 16 May. Since the lockdown began, there has been an aggressive increase in poaching of our wildlife. In order to help raise funds to save iconic, endangered species, via the medium of music, MAAC have pulled together a DJ dream team of techno maestros, guaranteed to make you drool.
Loco Dice, Danny Tenaglia, Adam Beyer b2b with Ida Engberg, Dubfire, Art Department and Mathew Johnson (live) are all set to play the event, delivering hours of the finest techno for music lovers around the globe. With back-up from the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Soul Clap and wAFF, this is going to be massive event not to be missed
MAAC's partnership with Beatport will enable them to raise funds for their 2020 initiatives:
- Rhino monitoring and anti-poaching efforts in Africa
- Continue their lion protection programme in Kenya
- Provide essential food and care for orangutans in Central Kalimantan Borneo during the Pandemic.
- Continue their "demand reduction campaign" to shut down the wildlife trade in China
- Support the ongoing mission to protect the future of snow leopards in western Nepal
Donations can be made here and all those who donate will be entered into a raffle to win one of five DDJ-200 Controllers, generously supplied by Pioneer DJ.
Tune in to Beatport, Twitch, Facebook Live or YouTube on Saturday from 4pm UK, 5pm Ibiza, to join the action.
Enjoy the amazing line-up and please do give whatever you can afford to help these wonderful causes.
