Ibiza 2019 closing party round-up | Part three | Venue closings

The end of season is upon us. It's kind of a big deal!.

Gone in the blink of an eye.

Ibiza 2019 has been a blast, but like we seem to say every year, the season has vanished in front of our eyes. Only yesterday, it seemed like we were hunkering down to thrash out opening party plans.

Although a few parties continue and see out summer until the bitter end, we're well in final count down territory. It all comes down to this. Are you ready? Here are the venue closings taking place from now until the middle of October.

Ibiza Rocks | Cuckoo Land | Friday 27 September

Although Ibiza Rocks' programme is varied, featuring anything from popstars to MCs, DJs to games of bingo, it says much that it has chosen to end its even season on Cuckoo Land.

The tech house haven brought to you by Electric Ibiza is a firm favourite, especially amongst seasonal workers. Weiss, Huxley and resident Sonny Fodera are on hand to shut us down. Afterwards, we carry on with the Electric Ibiza crew at Amnesia for Do Not Sleep closing.

Privilege | Friday 27 September

The closing party that almost never happened! After suggestions that Privilege was finished already with Solid Grooves, it announced a last minute proper venue closing earlier this week. It seems the giant is ready to go to sleep quite yet.

Revered island-based DJs are called upon for the farewell. Tania Vulcano, Anna Tur, Los Suruba, David Moreno and Jose María Ramón all in for the shindig.

Hï Ibiza | Afterlife/FMIF!/Black Coffee/Glitterbox | Thursday 3 ‐ Sunday 6 October

High-tech realm, Hï Ibiza has a string of fabulous back-to-back parties for its closing week. A whole host of styles and vibes are represented over these four events, from disco to deep house - whatever your personal taste.

Kicking things off on Thursday, Italian melodic techno masters, Tale Of Us invite Afterlife fans to join them for a three-room grand finale. We expect this closing will contain the very best that the futuristic label and the techno scene has to offer.

F*** ME I'M FAMOUS! is next up on Friday with high-charged host, David Guetta performing for the final time in Ibiza this year. The party's first year at its new home has been a big success - packed to the rafters week after week. Bob Sinclar and Idris Elba are on hand for the assist.

As the weekend descends, Black Coffee returns to his Saturday residency for the last time in 2019. Joining him for this tribal-infused extravaganza are a diverse collection of DJs, including Blond:ish, Lauren Lane, Themba and more. Expect a deep and emotive affair.

Rounding things off on Sunday and marking the final party for Hï this summer, is the glamourous Glitterbox. Holding no bars and unleashing all stops, they have crammed their line-up with a bunch of brilliant superstars.

Fatboy Slim, Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Dimitri from Paris, Purple Disco Machine and many more are on duty, slamming out the hottest mix of classic house cuts and dance floor anthems.

O Beach | Friday 4 October

Day-in, day-out O Beach has drawn in the crowds to its glamorous poolside location to reach bursting capacity. It's safe to say it'll pull out all the stops one more time to deliver its signature aerial performances, cheeky dancers and giant inflatables for one final party.

The line-up is yet to be announced for its closing party, though we imagine there will be plenty of familiar O Beach faces taking up deck duties on the day. But what we do know is that it will be the perfect summer send off to mark another spectacular season.

Destino | Destinomakers presents Solomun +Live | Friday 4 October

While King Solomun commands Pacha on Sundays, he tends to pop up all over the island at other parties as well. We've got a soft spot for his sets at Pacha-owned Destino too, though. Catching him in an outdoor environment is something not to be missed.

New Jackson will be the live act joining Mladen at the closing party, while we have a suspicion other friends may drop by to say “guten abend”. Then we continue afterwards at Transmoderna closing at Pacha.

Our full intervew with Solomun video is out now. Here, the Diynamic boss talks about everything from his +1 guests at Pacha to afterparties, from his beginnings on Ibiza to addressing rumours about his album.

Eden closing party | Defected | Friday 4 October

Eden opts to coincide its venue closing with the Defected closing party (actually, the extra date). A logical decision, as Simon Dunmore's house behemoth has excelled on Fridays in 2019.

If I had a choice, I'd always choose love” are the lyrics on Robert Surace's season stomper, Joys - deserved winner of Track of the Season at this year's DJ Awards. He's the special guest at closing. Joining him is the best the UK label has to offer.

Label head and Outstanding Contribution recipient, Simon Dunmore also invites Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Dennis Cruz and Amine Edge & DANCE. This closing will further cement what we have known all season long: Defected reigns supreme in San Antonio.

Ushuaïa | Saturday 5 October

2019 has been a phenomenal year for Ibiza's most treasured open-air venue, Ushuaïa. From the likes of David Guetta and Calvin Harris, to homemade underground party ANTS and electronic legends Kraftwerk debuting with Cocoon20. Just wow.

Before Ushuaïa closes its doors on 2019, there's time for one last bash. Confetti cannons and smoke machines at the ready, we welcome Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, The Black Madonna and Paul Kalkbrenner - to name a few - to soundtrack the closing party.

Amnesia Closing Party | Saturday 5 October

Another party you'll want to take note of is Amnesia's closing party set to start on 5 October and carry on until some time on Sunday (TBA). True to form, the San Rafael super-club has gifted us with a line-up we just can't resist.

Industry favourites Patrick Topping and Kölsch are all among the confirmed artists playing the terrace before a special closing back-to-back with minimal legends Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano. Meanwhile, Nina Kraviz and ANNA looks after the techno room next door.

Benimussa Park | Zoo Project | Sunday 6 October

Benimussa Park never fails to bring out the party animal in us. The abandoned zoo has hosted some incredible one-off fiestas this year including Cocoon Afters, Clockwork Orange and annual trance-fest Captured.

However, leader of the pack remained weekly gathering Zoo Project. It's only right it is bestowed the duty of closing the venue. The line-up is stacked for the occasion. Ida Engberg tops the bill and she's joined by a raft of others, including Real Gang, Defex and more.

Octan Ibiza | Sunday 6 October

Strap yourself in from 19:00 to 07:00 for a 12-hour shift of nonstop underground beats.

Centering its closing party roster around the core elements of its brief and concise (but stupendous) weekly programme, you can catch Steve Lawler and Apollonia in the rooms they hosted.

Spread across four floors of music, you can also catch Darius Syrossian, East End Dubs, UOKHUN? plus all of the Octan residents. Plenty to chew on. For now, we can only wonder at what Octan will bring to the table in 2020.

It's worth noting that you can double-up on Zoo Project and Octan closing parties tickets and make a fair saving with a combo ticket. Around the clock partying at two distinct underground venues.

Es Paradis | Saturday 12 October

Es Paradis kept it simply in 2019, by sticking to what its good at. Namely, a series of fun-filled weekly parties such as the legendary water party Fiesta del Agua and UV paint party, Glow.

Es Paradis goes late with its venue closing party in 2019, finishing up Saturday 12 October. The line-up is unannounced at present, but expect familiar faces to see us out at San Antonio prettiest club.

Pacha | Solomun +1 | Sunday 13 October

Following another monumental season at his home Pacha, electronic wiz Solomon takes us on a journey for the final time this season. Gifting ravers with a king-sized 12 hour party, the Hamburg favourite will mirror his opening party efforts to see islanders off until next year.

Joining him in the booth is the Berlin-based collective, Keinemusik - consisting of Adam Port, &ME and Rampa. The presence of the trio hints that the night will be memorable to say the least. We anticipate powerful and emotional melodies.

Underground Ibiza | Saturday 19 October

Ibiza's best kept secret keep had another great summer operating just off-radar. Not only did tINI and Rhadoo continue their intimate residencies, but the venue also saw the likes of Francesco Del Garda and Julian Perez drop by - and let's not forget a certain all night long with Sven Väth.

We expect the closing to stick to the tried and tested formula: locals, little promotion and incredible underground house music.
