Best tunes in Ibiza clubs | August to September

The hottest tracks from the dance floor in the last month (and a half!).

Better late than never. Our monthly round-up of the best club tracks took a little longer than usual to compile this month - but it's all the better for it. More time = more parties. What with September being filled with closing parties and September crowds, we got the pick of the rub.

Sadly, the 2019 season is almost at a close. However, the parties that lay in wait over the next few weeks are pretty tasty. With a handful of exceptions, the calendar is now almost exclusively geared towards fans of underground dance music.

That suits us just fine. As such, this month's recap is reflective of that - and there have been some huge dance floor moments.

Check out the ten tracks that have worked wonders for us. Spoiler alert: there's some right royal gems and Ibiza 2019 defining tunes amongst them.

Sharam | Exodus | The Zoo Project at Benimussa Park

Sophisticatedly demure yet clearly having fun, Ida Engberg's booking in the seal pit at Zoo Project was an inspired piece of programming. Drumcode's first lady delivered a set that touched on tribal, deep house, techno and even a splash of 80s-like synth-wave.

We picked out this particular track, but we could have picked any number from a performance that is up there with the best that Ibiza 2019 has seen. A quiet word in the ear of Benimussa Park's bookers: get Ida back again next year. She plays the closing on Sunday 6 October.

Apir | Emphatic | Pyramid presents Diynamic at Amnesia

The masses descended on Amnesia for Solomun's label takeover. What with him inviting Joseph Capriati back to the venue for the first time since 2015, it was always going to be a special night.

Adrian Shala of Adriatique was the master puppeteer who had the Club Room eating out of his hands. Each track matched the impact of the last - and we could have given him several slots on this month's feature. A truly breathtaking set, start to finish.

However, it's the new one from the Siamese label gets the nod.

Daphne | Sizzling | Tales Of The Unexpected at Pikes Ibiza

Feel My Bicep taking over Freddies always spelt magic - and true to expectations, it did not disappoint. Even before the Bicep boys had taken to the booth themselves, the dance floor was in the ensured hands of their colleague, Hammer.

This infectious feel-good track from Dan Snaith alias Daphne hit all the right notes. Coincidentally, we had already fallen in love with it due to it being included on a mix we'd worn out in the office. A summer anthem that flew under the radar for most.

Extrawelt | Pink Panzer | Who Cares? at Cova Santa

The night before, Sven had conducted in a rare back-to-back with DJ Koze at Cocoon. Now at the Afters, the two again appeared alongside one another - this time playing solo sets. The results were no less spellbinding, with Koze operating within a zone he excels.

With storm clouds gathering overhead, there was a genuine possibility that Cova Santa would be washed-out. But the crowd did not care. Koze took us on a whimsical journey with tracks such as this.

An electric atmosphere on the dance floor, as lightning flashed above the mountains in the distance.

Eli Brown | 92 Thing | BODYWORKS at Hï Ibiza

Currently, there's a spate of tracks that reference the golden years of rave - and we're loving the throwbacks. CamelPhat have been dropping this one on Tuesday nights at their BODYWORKS residency, during their typically energetic sets.

Courtesy of Eli Brown - himself a regular at the party - it has found the perfect home for the track on nostalgia-tinged We Are The Brave. Music like this deserves to be played in a big room on a loud sound system.

Kenneth Bager | Drums of Steel | Transmoderna at Pacha

Picked-up by Dixon months ago and since adopted by the likes of Tale Of Us and Solomun, Drums of Steel might be the defining anthem from year one of Transmoderna. It's had dance floor's going crazy and people eager to identify what it was.

Arguably Kenneth Bager's most club-focused production to date - finally released this past Friday. Surely set to be amongst the tracklist on his forthcoming LP, landing on his own Music For Clubs label soon.

Murat Uncuoglu | Abetone | Rooftop Nine at Sol House

Predictably, the latter half of summer brings some gorgeous sunsets. There are few better vantage points than Rooftop Nine at Sol House Ibiza in the San Antonio Bay. We've had the pleasure of catching resident Alias K soundtrack those twilight moments with her dreamy deep house sound.

CJ Jeff & Andrew Meller | The Morning After | Toolroom closing at Eden

Mark Knight and co. were in carnival mode by the time Toolroom's closing party rolled around. Clearly throwing himself full-on into the festivities, Mark plucked out this one from good friend Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records.

The title of the track we expect was especially apt as Toolroom ended its 2019 Eden residency on a resounding exclamation mark.

Claude VonStroke feat. Green Velvet | Jolean | Saga closing at HEART Ibiza

We'll admit, we're a sucker for a Green Velvet vocal. Here the legendary voiceover is once again used to devastating effect. In this instance, deployed by Damian Lazarus at Saga closing.

Bedouin's Sunday night residency has again delivered some heavyweight guests - and the closing party was no different with a sonic superhero, Lazarus. Winners of Best Ibiza Night - despite the competition on that day of the week - Saga continues to go from strength-to-strength.

After closing parties are done and dusted *sob* we'll publish our top tracks from those emotional final few dates.

Please refer to our party calendar to plan what parties you'll be hitting.
