Cocoon was always going to go big for 2019. 20 years is no mean feat, by any standards. Throw in the emotional return to Amnesia on selected Monday nights, and all bodes well for 2019 going into the record books as a Cocoon classic. After keeping die-hard fans waiting long enough, the full programme has now been released.
Those hoping to catch Sven Väth back at Amnesia have eight out of ten chances, with 8 July being his only Club Room appearance. Widely regarded as Cocoon's number two, Ilario Alicante is down for five dates.
First looking at those key dates that we know from experience as especially popular. Sven's good friend and fellow island icon Solomun drops by to join him on the Terrace on 10 June. Long term Cocoon affiliate Richie Hawtin is by his side on 5 August, his only advertised date.
The uniquely compatible trio of Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards and Seth Troxler indulge in their annual back-to-back-to-back on 24 June. Meanwhile, Sven will conduct one of his legendary all-night-long marathons on the Terrace on 16 September.
After Sven was already confirmed to be a guest at their Afterlife residency, Tale Of Us play the reverse fixture on 22 July. Other notable appearances come from Ben Klock and Nina Kraviz (both 2 September) and a Bicep Ibiza-exclusive two-weeks earlier.
Adam Beyer - an established Cocoon favourite, as well as an island regular - is set for two outings. The Drumcode boss drops in on 8 July and the grand closing on 30 September.
Keeping with its tradition of supporting live electronic music performers, Cocoon invites a completely different selection of artists than last year. Gregor Tresher (10 June), Planetary Assault Systems (8 July) and Gaiser (5 August) are each confirmed to recite their own material.
Female talent isn't overlooked either, with the apex women in the techno universe all down to play. Charlotte de Witte (10 June), ANNA (22 July and 30 September), Sonja Moonear (2 September), Cassy and Nastia (both 16 September), all join the aforementioned Kraviz.
Naturally, there's a healthy presence of the extended Cocoon family. Across the season you can catch the likes of Dana Ruh, Dorian Paic, André Galluzzi, Fabe, Traumer and Cesar Vinzent.
Plus, there are big one-offs for the likes of Josh Wink, DJ Koze and Dubfire, resulting in no lacklustre dates.
The momentous celebrations begin will full fanfare on Monday 27 May, where Running Back's Gerd Janson is Sven's guest on the Terrace.
