El Hotel de Pacha's enticing sushi menu

Winter visitors to Ibiza have an excellent opportunity to take advantage of one of the island’s famous institutions, El Hotel de Pacha.

The stylish and classy El Hotel de Pacha is throwing open the doors to its restaurant, tempting visitors to sample the delights of their sushi menu. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday lunchtimes during winter, the menu offers three courses: a starter, a selection of sushi dishes and a dessert all for only €22 a head.

What makes the Pacha menu such great value is the freshness and quality of the product. During the summer season Wellington, Pacha's skillful Brazilian sushi chef, is based at the sister hotel, Destino, and he is a master of his craft. All sushi dishes are made to order, nothing is prepared earlier.

Our starters were an enviable choice between the juicy pork Gyozas or plump breaded langoustines. Luckily we could sample both and they were equally satisfying, whetting the appetite for the main event to come.

The main course was comprised of a selection of classic and modern sushi dishes. Our favourites alongside the traditional sashimi included: creamy king crab California rolls, some spicy Funky Maki rolls, lightly fried in tempura and the succulent yellowtail sashimi in ponzu sauce.

Dessert for the day was a delicately-flavoured green tea tiramisu, which proved to be the perfect, light finale to a well-balanced meal.

El Hotel de Pacha's lunchtime menu offers amazing quality and generous portions at a fraction of the cost of summer or evening prices. For those of us at Ibiza Spotlight who enjoy hunting for a good value menu del día, El Hotel de Pacha could become a regular winter haunt.
