Voting is open for the DJ Awards 2018

The star-studded end of season bash moves to HEART Ibiza for 2018 and adds new categories.

Having called Pacha home for as long as we can remember followed by one year at Hï, the DJ Awards moves to HEART Ibiza for 2018.

After being founded by Jose Pascual and Lenny Krarup in 1998, this year sees the biggest changes yet to the bash widely heralded as electronic music's answer to the Oscars.

This year's event will take place on Tuesday 11 September. Voting is open now, so register and select your favourites from each category. Past winners include Luciano, Armin Van Buuren and Hardwell.

Since it arrived on the island in 2015, HEART has fused art, gastronomy, theatre and an upfront electronic music policy. The collaborative project between the Adria brothers and Cirque du Soleil truly embodies the spirit of Ibiza.

The theme for this year's awards pays homage to the roots of the scene, going back to the very beginning: the dawn of disco in the 70s. Without these foundations, today's modern clubbing industry would not exist as we know it.

New for this year, the list of genres has been updated to include progressive house and melodic house & techno. Meanwhile, the techno, house, tech house and trance categories each have an award for both artist and master.

Besides the above, there will also be twelve special industry awards chosen by the panel, including recognition for production, track of the season and most decorated record label.

Underlining its commitment to a diverse and level playing field, the number of female nominees has doubled from 2017.

Head here to cast your vote. You have until 24 July.
