Unusual Suspects bring more underground stars to Sankeys

Following a succession of road-block Thursdays, here's what in store for week five.

While there have been some changes behind the scenes at Sankeys this year, Unusual Suspects has picked up right where it left off last year.

With four dates already under its belt for 2018, it seems like only yesterday Ilario Alicante was pushing the Lab's new sound system to its limits at its opening. Since then, there has been no let up in the calibre of artists passing through the US's door.

Shonky, Raresh, tINI, DJ W!LD and Visionquest have all played in the past month. With week five approaching on this coming Thursday, the high profile names keep coming.

This week continues along stellar lines. In a first for Ibiza, Canadian live phenomenon Mathew Jonson collaborates with his good lady, Isis. Together they are Mr & Mrs Jonson.

The multi-disciplinarian is a joy to watch as both a solo performer and as part of Cobblestone Jazz, but alongside his vocalist wife in an island first will be truly special.

Also on the bill is the original house gangster DJ Sneak. Fresh from exploits around the island last week where he stole the plaudits, Sneak is back repping for US.

Wrapping up a stellar line-up, a trilogy of Unusual Suspect's regulars return. Frank Storm, Janina and Federico Grazzini have been staples of this party for several years and were pivotal to the success of the opening few parties this summer.

With Thursdays now being the only night of the week Sankeys will open throughout June, we can expect more roadblock scenes. If you want to see the underground Playa d'En Bossa venue in full swing, then this is the night.
