Underworld top tunes and HEART live show line-up

Especially selected tunes by Underworld ahead of their Ibiza live show with Sven Väth, Pete Tong, Mark Knight and more.

British duo Underworld have announced the guests joining them as they accept 2018 IMS Legends Award at the IMS Legends Dinner for the IMS present Underworld live show at HEART Ibiza next Wednesday 23 May. Talk about legendary.

As one of the most iconic and pioneering electronic acts of all time, Underworld certainly know how to select their guests. Joining them as IMS honours their countless achievements, Cocoon head honcho Sven Väth, British DJ legend Pete Tong, Toolroom Records founder, DJ and producer Mark Knight and the promising Tibi Dabo will step up onto the decks that evening.

Underworld will also be performing an exclusive live show at this special and quite frankly unmissable event.

The duo rose to global acclaim with anthemic dance hit Born Slippy, made famous by iconic 90s film Trainspotting. Since then they have toured the world, bringing their unique club electronica sound to countless festivals, venues and movies.

True dance culture icons, their productions explore a whole range of genres and experimental styles from progressive house to techno, breakbeat to trance.

As our out tribute to one of electronic music's most influential figures, we have selected some of the best tracks from Underworld's expansive discography for your listening pleasure.

Have a listen and see below if you want to be a part of this unique opportunity to witness one of the most significant electronic music acts.

REZ | SINGLE |1993

One of their very first underground club anthems and a crowd-winning track in their live shows.

COWGIRL | Dubnobasswithmyheadman |1994

Usually mixed after Rez in live performances, Cowgirl is a classic example of Underworld's thundering electronica style.

Dark & Long | dubnobasswithmyheadman |1994

This rolling trance like anthem (The Dark Train mix) was made famous by 1996 Film Trainspotting.

Born Slippy | SINGLE |1995

Underworld's undisputed magnum opus and biggest hit to date. Again like Dark & Long made famous by Trainspotting in the final scene. Choose Life.

King of Snake | Beaucoup Fish | 1999

Another big club winner at the end of the 20th century. This track also popped up in 2000 film Kevin and Perry Go Large.

Two Months Off | A Hundred Days Off | 2002

The first single that Karl Hyde and Rick Smith released together as duo, this track saw Underworld explore an ambient and experimental music style on this album.

Sola Sistim | A Hundred Days Off | 2002

Another perfect example of ambient experimentation on A Hundred Days Off, this downbeat song brought together Underworld's comeback album.

Peach Tree | SINGLE | 2007

A B-side on the Crocodile release, we picked this tune out as it really encompasses Underworlds style around this period. High-octane breakbeat also sounds great in headphones too.

BIRD 1 | Barking | 2010

Forever chopping and changing style between albums, Barking saw them experiment once again with more electro sounding synths.

SCRIBBLE | Barking | 2010

Underworld makes an uplifting liquid drum and bass track with High Contrast and the result is truly beautiful.

On Wednesday 23 May you can see Underworld perform LIVE right here in Ibiza in what will be an immense live show.
