IMS Ibiza reveals key themes for 2018

IMS Ibiza announces special focus on wellness and highlights main discussion topics.

IMS Ibiza returns for its 11th edition next year for a three-day event from 23-25 May and has announced a set of exciting new themes for the 2018 summit.

The International Music Summit (IMS) will be taking its usual dive into critical issues affecting the electronic music industry, with a particular focus on health and wellness this coming year.

One of the main discussions will focus on DJs' wellbeing when IMS Ibiza will be asking, is it ‘DJs complaining or real problems?'.

Continuing on the health theme, new for 2018 is a three-day wellness retreat set to take place before the summit starts, open to all industry players old and new. Full details are to be announced early next year.


Another headlining discussion comes from Black Coffee and his team, who will be outlining the path to success for the multi-award-winning DJ and the challenges faced along the way.

IMS Ibiza will also focus on sexual harassment in DJ Culture and look at the emerging market for dance music in the Middle East.

You can look forward to discussions hosted by Burn Residency, Kid Talks, Shesaid.so and Young Guns Network, and to add to that, the highly regarded and popular IMS Anthem Masterclass is back.

IMS will celebrate two 25 years milestones in 2018. Sonar, the world-renowned Barcelona festival will detail how it has helped to shape underground music culture across Europe,

Positiva Records will be taking of its own pioneering contribution to electronic music with a special look at how the role of the A&R man has evolved in the past 25 years.


IMS in 2018 takes place Wednesday 23rd May and runs to Friday 25th May, ending with its annual special event at the top of Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town.
