B2B sessions to see on Ibiza this week

Double the damage this week with our turbulent B2B hit list.

Back-to-back sets have been catching the electronic scene's eye for a good number of years now. The excitement that is generated from two incredible artists playing together in one set is enough to send anyone into a frenzy, and the heart palpitations you feel when seeing such surprises on club line-ups happen for a reason.

Frenzies and heart palpitations - are you up for it? If so, this week in Ibiza we are being presented with some dancing duos that you just cannot miss. Dig in, and dig yourself back out.

Monday 24 July / Jackmaster and Ben UFO / Circoloco at DC10

Circoloco at DC10 is famous for its mind-bending musical talent. The line-ups consistently go above and beyond many of the other club events on the island. This week we see the gift of Ben UFO B2B with Jackmaster, and if you recall their set for Circoloco's closing bash in 2015, you'll be launching yourself through that queue come 3AM.

Monday 24 July / Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg / Cocoon at Amnesia

Ida Engberg and Adam Beyer celebrated their 2016 wedding with an afterparty at Berghain, and that boosts them up to an inimitable level of cool. With techno's power couple raising three kids, it's a rarity to see them fusing their sounds behind the booth, and that makes this Cocoon event that big bit special. According to Adam Beyer, when they play together "it kind of creates a good flow, because my music sometimes is like the bridges between her bigger tracks, or more musically interesting tracks." A good flow sounds good to us, and it'll no doubt sound superb to you guys.

Tuesday 25 July / Steffi and Virginia / Mosaic by Maceo Plex at Pacha

Here we have a B2B featuring two leading ladies from Berlin's underground scene, with both being residents at Panorama Bar. While we can't confirm whether they'll be on a back-to-back basis in Pacha's intimiate Prism room for Mosaic, we'd say it's a safe bet to assume that they'll be uniting behind that booth. If you want a taste of their Panorama Bar service, this is a selection that promises to be uncompromised.

Tuesday 25 July / Sasha and John Digweed / RESISTANCE at Privilege

An opening party that wants to make its mark upon the Ibiza club scene. This week is the first RESISTANCE event of the season at the famous Privilege. These are just one of six B2Bs of the night. They've had a busy year so far, amongst the madness features Ultra music festival in Miami, and their upcoming slot for Awakenings at Electric Zoo in New York. Be sure to catch their set in the main room of Privilege as things will be epic. This event sees stacks of unmissable duo sets. Such as Eats Everything and Cassy B2B, Nicole Moudaber bringing down the Main Room with Victor Calderone, ANNA going B2B with B.Traits in the Vista Club, and Technasia in a spin with Nick Curly, among more. Check out them on BBC Radio 1 here.

Thursday 27 July / Federico Grazzini and Frank Storm / Unusual Suspects at Sankeys

Unusual Suspects is a staple techno party on Ibiza. This Thursday at Sankeys will see a packed line-up giving us the mid-season music we need. This Italian duo will be going B2B not only this week, but also for the Unusual Suspects closing party on the 28 September. These two are Unusual Suspects favourites, having played for this event since its opening in 2015. Catch other B2Bs at this week's event as Dani Casarano goes B2B with Felipe. These will both be giving you the very best of what Unusual Suspects is all about.

Thursday 27 July / Apollonia / In The Dark at Hï Ibiza

Apollonia - made up of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky - are set to play In The Dark at Hï this Thursday. They hold residencies at two of the most recognisable parties on the island; Circoloco at DC10 and Music On at Amnesia. An outstanding concept for the All Night Long event Hï have created. Seeing Apollonia in the Club room and Joseph Capriati in the Theatre from midnight. Apollonia are also playing some of the most to-die-for festivals this summer including Sonus in Croatia and BPM Festival in Portugal. This Thursday's event will be allowing the artists to truly get into their groove.

Sunday 30 July / Sonny Fodera and Low Steppa / Defected In The House

Something a little more housey to finish off the week. Sundays in San Antonio see Defected In The House at Eden take over. This week we have Sonny Fodera and Low Steppa go B2B for the only time this season. You may have been lucky enough to catch them collaborate at Sankeys last September, but if not your chance has arrived. This June they also collabed to release track Always Gonna Be featuring Alex Mills on the Defected label. Catch these two all over the island this year, stacking up a considerable amount of dates.
