Free open-air films at Cala Llonga beach

Ibiza 2016 summer movie dates.

If you are looking for an alternative night out at the flicks, make your way to Cala Llonga beach for a series of free cinema events in the open air throughout the summer season. There are five dates to go in the series with the next film being the incomparable and hugely popular Minions on 30 July at 9.30pm.

Get yourself down to the beach to learn how Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are signed up as part of the evil plot by Scarlet Overkill to take over the world in this popular film for kids...and many adults. Cala LLonga is one of the most popular resorts for families on Ibiza and the series of movies are perfect for anyone wanting to drop by and enjoy a movie al fresco.

All the next five films have the younger viewer in mind, with the next one being How to Train Your Dragon on 6 August at 9.30pm. This will be followed by Madagascar 3 on 20 August, Inside out on 27 August and Pan on 3 September - all at 9pm. All these are perfect for a nice relaxed family evening under the stars with the night breeze providing a gentle relief after a long summer day.

Movie nights in Cala Llonga are hosted by Santa Eulalia Town Hall, Ibiza.travel, IbizaPA and the Cala Llonga Neighbours Association. Each event will be posted individually and can be accesses via the Viva Cala Llonga Facebook page.

The events are sponsored by Amante, the beach club and restaurant with dramatic sea views of Sol d'en Serra beach. The stylish venue, is surrounded by dramatic rocks and lush green scenery for relaxed lunchtime or evening dining. Amante also has its own series of movie screenings throughout the month of September and into October, with the next screening being Brooklyn on 6 September.
