The magnificent sands of Cala Llonga

A complete mini resort.

Where and what?

Located on the island's east coast and surrounded by rolling pine-clad hills is the long and wide sandy beach of Cala Llonga. It's the main beach of the much loved mini-resort of the same name and is ideal for exploring the rest of the island.

Why go?

The resort attracts a lot of families and couples from all over Europe and is very popular. The beach has a Blue Flag which is your guarantee of water quality, safety and easy access to and from the beach. The shallow waters are perfect for kids to bathe in and the hills behind it protect the picturesque bay, making it the ideal place to get some colour on your trip. The location of the beach and resort means you don't have to miss out on Ibiza's famous night life, with Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia a mere 10 minutes drive away.

Things to do

There are lots of bars and restaurants that line the beach with a big variety of food options. As you walk around the resort, you'll find more – this isn't a place where you will go hungry. You can try your hand at beach volleyball and there is a range of cool activities such as water-skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing and parasailing. Should you choose to stay here, there are many, many accommodation options, the famous hippy market at Es Cana is close by and for a stylish day or night out, Amante, the beach club is right next door.

How to get there

You can get here by car or by taking a bus from Santa Eulalia, which also provides a ferry service in summer, as does Ibiza Town. One of the best things in getting here is driving through the winding roads taking in lots of spectacular views on the way.
