Ibiza Gran Hotel – Ibiza Town

A favourite breakfast spot for an esteemed Spotlight colleague is at this 5-star hotel. This place takes breakfast to a new level with 20 different types of bread made in their artisan bakery; a yoghurt station where you can customise your yoghurt with fresh fruits and fruit syrups; freshly made sausages and waffles plus the menu has many wholefoods and super-foods. It's a breakfast experience you must try and at only €36 or a taste of morning luxury in a fine hotel, it's hard to beat.

Le Croissant Show – Ibiza Town

Owner André, replete with his Dali style moustache is the host at this famous café. You'll get amazing croissants. which should come as no surprise: plain, almond or chocolate as well as pain au chocolat, soft boiled eggs cooked to your liking and their famous quiches. Situated right at the foot of the citadel next to the small market, it's excellent for people watching, spotting famous DJs and many come early morning after the clubs for a feed. A small local legend.

Bondi – San Antonio

Fast, friendly, healthy, and sustainable plus the food tastes great. Bondi opened last year and has quickly built up a loyal fan base. For breakfast, there are things like Australian pancakes with red berries and apple syrup; also you will get a full English breakfast or a veggie version that even meat eaters would salivate over. Smoothies, cold pressed juices and detox mineral waters are great for the day after the night before or for helping on missed sleep. There are lots of alternatives for food intolerance sufferers too. Try it out - you will be surprised.

Cappuccino Grand Café – Marina Botafoch

It's more like what can't you get for breakfast at Cappuccino. From pastries to pancakes to poached eggs and avocado to a classic British breakfast, you won't miss out on your favourites. The quality is high and we can think of no finer view of Dalt Vila to gaze at whilst we tuck into Greek yoghurt and fruit with a chard, pear and ginger juice on the side. Then maybe some Serrano ham…a plate of smoked salmon…a whole wheat croissant…Go it's delicious!

Rita's Cantina – San Antonio

A San Antonio legend and busy and popular all year round – it's also a terrific place for breakfast right next to the marina. The location perfect for relaxing away from the main drag, with the tinkling sound of the boats moored nearby. There's all kind of set breakfasts: the bangers and bacon of an English one to the German brekkie with cured meats or the "Healthy Healthy" one with goji berries and a Vitamin D rich carrot juice.

Plaisir- Santa Gertrudis

You'll be licking your lips at the breakfast menu at Plaisir, which should still leave your waistline in relatively good shape. Get your five a day with the "Campesino" breakfast with ratatouille, avocado and asparagus or indulge with fried eggs and black pudding or a simple and tasty tostada. There are range of smoothies and juices and inexpensive top ups of maca root or spirulina. Breakfast is available Tuesdays to Fridays in this stylish and open plan restaurant.

Set yourself up for the day with a great Ibiza breakfast at one of these top places and you'll be ready to conquer the world.
