High-class mixology can be found across the white island nowadays. The range of venues comprises beachside joints, urban bars and rooftop terraces. So, whether yours is a classic mojito, a margarita, or something altogether more exotic, have no doubt you’re in the right place.
Our dedicated team of cocktail tasters (we know, someone has to do it) has compiled the following list in alphabetical order to help you in your search for the perfect cocktail, in the perfect spot. Enjoy!
AIYANNA
One of the island’s finest cocktail menus at a beautiful beachside restaurant that serves delicious cuisine: what’s not to like? Aiyanna’s globe-trotting mixologist invents concoctions that are sure to wow you. What’s more, the menu changes annually; this year's theme is art, so each one is named after a pioneering painter. Each sip is nothing less than a work of art!
Bambuddha
Hidden away in the Ibizan countryside, the beautiful restaurant Bambuddha is a temple (quite literally) to fine Asian dining and incredible cocktails. Each of the cheeky, tantric-sex-themed cocktails is lovingly crafted with the freshest of ingredients.
Try the "Full Moon" cocktail, a cool mixture of rum, green Chartreuse, banana liqueur and lime kiwi.
Basoa Cocktail Bar
Looking for somewhere cool to unwind in the usually quiet, family resort of Cala Llonga? Look no further than the colourful Basoa Cocktail Bar. Boasting excellent cocktails, very friendly service, a good soundtrack and eye-catchingly funky decor, the Mojitos here are out of this world!
Bulín Cocktail Club
New on the scene in the centre of Ibiza Town, the sophisticated Bulín Cocktail Club offers cutting-edge mixology with frequent themed events and eclectic music. Located a few meters from the port of Ibiza with a cosy and intimate atmosphere ideal for cocktail-loving couples.
This ice-cool gastro-bar makes a great place to start your night out on the town.
Cenote
Located in the bustling heart of the port, in Calle de la Virgen, Cenote is a unique watering hole (geddit?) specialising in authentic Mexican cocktails. Its Mexican owner Pablo and resident mixologists are hugely knowledgeable when it comes to the wide range of Tequilas and Mezcals the bar offers.
Wash one of their delicious concoctions down with a tasty Mexican snack while enjoying an outstanding musical background.
EL DESEO
When you want a Margarita, Mexico is the place! For those who prefer not to leave Ibiza, however, head to El Deseo - in the village of Jesus, just outside Ibiza Town. This purveyor of fine Mexican cuisine just happens to serve up what are alleged by the boss to be the best ones on the island, not forgetting to mention their unbeatable Micheladas!
EPIC
From its vantage point overlooking Cala Nova, Bless Hotel Ibiza’s Epic Infinity Lounge serves up some of the island’s tastiest cocktails. Add to that its infinity pool with breathtaking sea views and sumptuous international fusion food and you’ve got the perfect place for a daytime tipple or an unforgettable sundowner with your paramour.
Experimental Beach
Right next to the long pebbly beach of Playa Codolar sits one of the most exquisite places to dazzle your senses with cocktail in hand while you watch a sunset of incredible colours, Experimental Beach.
We recommend the Belza: gin infused with pink pepper, orange blossom, cucumber, pineapple, lime and green tea. That said, you won't be disappointed with any of this place's brilliant cocktails.
Hostal La Torre
A cocktail always tastes better with a view and there are none better than the sunset vista from the cliff-top terrace at Hostal La Torre. Choose from the list of DJ-themed concoctions, accompanied by the finest Balearic soundtrack, selected by A-list Ibizan DJs, and your drinking pleasures will be massively enhanced.
Sunset is a busy time at La Torre, so be sure to plan ahead.
Juntos House
A rural restaurant specialising in organic food might not strike you as a place to go for a cocktail, but Juntos House - located in the sleepy setting of San Mateo, in the NW of the island - is one such discovery. To the rear of its gorgeous garden, there’s a spacious pergola that's home to its cocktail bar and many of the creations will expand your taste horizons.
In wintertime, its cosy indoor Speakeasy bar comes into its own.
MONTESOL
Café Montesol's trendy rooftop cocktail bar offers tasty cocktails and mocktails along with eye-catching views of Ibiza's historic old town, Dalt Vila, and all the action in the bustling port area below. It’s the perfect setting to chill with friends over a cocktail and soak up the downtown vibe.
Order a spicy Margarita as the sun goes down and watch as the sky turns red.
Nagai
In addition to its outstanding Japanese fusion food, this homely, welcoming restaurant also does a mean line in cocktails. Classics include the Negroni Nagai, with Gin Roku, Campari and Muyu liquor while the Signature line runs the gamut from the Asian-inspired Yasei No Kyuri and Okinawa Beach to the Purple Rain, a concoction of liquors from three continents. Kampai, as they say in Japan!
NOVIKOV
This year (2023) saw the opening of pan-Asian and Chinese-inspired eatery, Novikov in Ibiza Town’s marina. Priding itself on a luxurious range of top-quality cocktails and cuisine, Novikov’s Garden Terrace and quirky cocktail bar make the perfect spot to sip on one of their trademark refreshments.
For starters, try their worldwide signature ‘Wasabi Martini’ - a mouth-watering mix of Belvedere, Yuzu and Basil washed with Wasabi.
PARADISE LOST
Smugglers, rum runners and bootleggers come on down. Tucked away in the shadow of Dalt Vila, off a side street on Calle de la Virgen is Paradise Lost - THE place to catch some great DJs spinning whilst you sink your cocktail of choice and engage in random chat with the colourful locals.
Our favourite on its extensive cocktail menu is its self-styled Black & Stormy - a potent blend of Blackwell dark rum and ginger beer that we feel sure the sailors of old would approve of.
Rooftop NINE
With a location that offers a pool, tasty cocktails, great events and music and possibly the best panoramic view, the Rooftop Nine terrace at the adults-only INNSiDE Ibiza Hotel is one of San Antonio Bay's top bars. Soak up the sun's rays during the day, or enjoy the perfect sunset with live DJ sessions and a choice from the extensive cocktail menu.
What better sundowner than a Roof Sunset, composed of white rum, old rum, passion fruit, mango and ginger ale?
S’ESCALINATA
Watch the world go by and admire the views of the Old Town from the steps of this unique restaurant/bar situated in the heart of Dalt Vila. S’Escalinata has an excellent range of cocktails, all made and served with passion.
And, if you’re looking for something fresh and non-alcoholic for those balmy Ibiza summer evenings, try out their homemade lemonade.
Space Eat & Dance
If you want to enjoy the buzz of San Antonio's world-renowned Sunset Strip, without breaking the bank, check out Space Eat & Dance. Their list of signature cocktails, each concoction named after famous events at the magical club, comes served with the best sunset in town for free!
Check out the bitter-sweet 'Revolution'. Coxy would approve. Oh Yes!
TROPICAL PINGUIN
Betrayed slightly by its unsuspected location is Tropical Pinguin, found adjacent to Hostal Florencio on Carrer de la Soledat in central San Antonio. The cosy bar has sumptuous seating, a DJ booth and expertly crafted cocktails. A great place to dust off the cobwebs and get the night started, before moving onto the bright lights by the town’s port.
You’ll feel your sophisticated best whilst you nurse your Espresso Martini, that much we can promise.
WIKI WOO Hotel
Last, but by no means least, we finish off our roundup at one of the island's most lively and colourful terraces - the Wiki Woo Hotel. The refreshments are just as vibrant as the venue's Housey soundtrack and vivid sunsets with a cheeky range of signature cocktails and some super-sized group sharers for 4 or more.
Wiki Woo's famous Porn Star tree is the perfect launch pad for a blinding night out with your besties.
