Just for everybody who has moaned all year about how expensive Ibiza is and how prices rise so quickly the Government has just released the Retail Price Index figures for 2004 which show an increase in prices of only 3%. This is 2 points less than the rest of the country and the dynamic trend shows prices actually decreasing towards the end of the year, especially in the important areas of transport and clothing.
More importantly for Ibiza's bon viveurs, there has been complete stability in the price of beers, wines, spirits and cigarettes and the only significant price rise last year was that of petrol, caused by the crisis in the Middle East. So there we are, proof that your Euro really does go a long way in Ibiza.
