Moonlit Walk

It's often said that the simple pleasures in life are the best

It's often said that the simple pleasures in life are the best and this certainly turned out to be the case for the thousand people who spent Saturday evening in Santa Ines. San Antonio's popular mayor, Pep Sala, had organised an evening walk from the town to the valley of Santa Ines to admire the beauty of the almond trees in blossom by the light of the silvery moon.

The 9-kilometre hike took in the lovely areas of Cala Salada, Cap Nono, and through the forests to Sant Ines where the neighbours' association had provided a hearty barbecue. At the end of the evening the intrepid hikers were transported back to San Antonio on the tourist train.

It certainly appears that, because of its popularity, the hike will become an annual event in the calendar.
