Miguel Angel (Micky) Silva, a San Antonio local policeman, will be laughing all the way to the bank should his dreams come true in the finals of TV show 'Operacion Triunfo'. Micky has swapped his 'beat' round the West End for the musical beat of this talent competition, a kind of fly-on-the-wall songumentary, where 20 contestants vie for fame and fortune. Young Micky, whose singing is already well known locally where he heads the Camicie Orchestra, fought his way through over 80,000 hopefuls to reach the final. We can only imagine how tough this must have been, especially in the land which gave us the terminally annoying 'Macarena' and the insidious 'Ketchup', and wish Micky all the best for the future.
