Once upon a time Billy Goat Gruff lived with Nanny Goat Gruff and hundreds of other members of the Goat Gruff family on Es Vedra, Ibiza's mystical, magical, magnetic rock. They lived happily munching on the odd tuft of grass or lichen and spread like wildfire as they had no natural enemies save a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex marooned since the Jurassic period. (Just joking). But then along came the Department of the Environment of the Balearic Government and ordered the owners of the goats to remove their herds from the island, lest they do anymore damage to any protected species of vegetation in this area, part of the Cala d'Hort natural park. The owners have been given 3 months to comply otherwise the Government will take matters into its own hands - let's hope this does not mean dynamiting the goats!
