It's official; Ibiza Town has the densest population in all the Balearic Isles. Cynics have often suspected this, given the performance of some of our politicians and public servants. However, the 'density' of population referred to, actually means how tightly packed in we are to a set area. In Ibiza Town there are 3,133 inhabitants to every square kilometre - more than double that of Palma in Mallorca, second in the list. But, with nearly everybody living in apartment blocks it doesn't mean that we've reached the 'sardine' stage just yet, and there's still 'plenty of room on top' for more!
