The collector Pep Pilot has been collecting club posters for decades, which has led him to gather more than 500 posters of Ibiza's nightlife and nightclubs over the last 70 years, reflecting its evolution.
Pep, together with the Asociación Cultural Retro, has organised this wonderful exhibition of posters at the Far de ses Coves Blanques, opening on Saturday 25 February at 20:00 h and available until 31 March.
Each one of the posters invites to nostalgia: you will find from a poster of Mar Blau from 1951 (the first nightclub on the island located in the same hostel) to posters announcing the formidable parties at Ku, the legendary opening and closing parties at Space, the concerts of Joe Cocker and Jimmi Page or the performance of UB-40 in Amnesia back in 86, among many others.
It is a tribute to those glorious nights and to the creators of these magnificent posters, as well as a journey through the history of Ibiza's nightlife.
As a clubbing lover and Ibiza's enthusiast, this is an exhibition you CAN'T MISS.
Visiting hours are Tuesday to Friday from 17:00 to 20:00 h and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 h and from 17:00 to 20:00 h.
Entrance is free.
