Getting there: Cala Bassa is reachable by bus or by car (15 min from San Antonio), follow signs from either the San Antonio or San José direction. Good parking facilities are available (for a fee). Or (much more fun) take the ferry from San Antonio, only 15 minutes and with regular services throughout the summer.
The beach
A very popular beach near San Antonio which draws tourists daily and locals on weekends, Cala Bassa Beach truly offers something for everyone. It is reachable by car, boat and bus, with a range of useful facilities and wooden walkways providing access for the disabled and prams, making it easily accessible to all ages.
Cala Bassa beach boasts incredibly clear, turquoise waters and soft, pale golden sand. It's a safe bathing spot for kids, but not exactly a 'sleepy' beach, as there is a range of water sports on offer for the adrenalin junkies - including jet skis.
The beach is surrounded by a wooded area of ancient, gnarled sabina trees that are perfect if you want to gaze out onto the shimmering sea from a shaded spot.
The beauty and good accessibility of Cala Bassa mean that the beach is indeed very crowded in summer. Therefore, it is best to come really early in the morning or late afternoon, when you can also enjoy the stunning sunsets which Ibiza is famous for.

Beach bars and restaurants
The beach has four different restaurants, all under the management of the Cala Bassa Beach Club. They are mostly quite exclusive options, but there is also a snack bar at the far end of the bay.
The beach club offers a wide array of facilities, from beach boutiques, massage area, to showers, bathrooms and changing rooms. DJs play a mix of lounge, chill-out and deep-house music all day.
