Ibiza island guide for clubbers

Not sure where to stay to make the most of your Ibiza clubbing holiday? Read our clubber's guides to the major resorts.

There are three main clubbing resorts on Ibiza.

Playa d'en Bossa on the east coast of the island, just south of Ibiza town, boasts the longest beach of the island and a pulsating nightlife. Here you will find a myriad of restaurants and bars for all tastes and budgets, smaller clubs like Playa Soleil, SWAG, Baloo and super-clubs like the world-famous open-air venue Ushuaïa Ibiza and the neighbouring Hï Ibiza, voted world's number one club by the readers of DJ Mag for record-breaking four years in a row.

San Antonio, on the west coast of Ibiza, is home to the world-famous Sunset Strip and its beautiful sunset bars. It also offers a lovely broad beach and a very lively town centre where you'll find lots of bars and nightclubs nearby. Daytime open-air clubbing can be experienced poolside at O Beach Ibiza and Ibiza Rocks Pool Club, or in the hills nearby at 528 Ibiza. At night, the party continues until dawn in the large clubs Eden and Es Paradis right next to the palm tree-lined promenade.

The capital, Ibiza Town, attracts a very international crowd, with its countless boutiques, restaurants, and bars, many in the enchanting setting of the historic Old Town. Many nightclubs are within a short distance, such as the famous super-club Pacha, just a short walk from the centre, along with smaller venues Chinois Ibiza and Lío Ibiza.

The super-club Amnesia and the new hyper-club [UNVRS] are located on the main road, which connects Ibiza Town and San Antonio, near the village of San Rafael. They are easily reached from the three clubbing resorts by taxi or the all-night Discobus.

If you are after something a bit quieter, you also might consider Santa Eulalia. This town on the east coast, towards the north of the island, has no big clubs but does have its own nightlife scene, with many bars and fantastic restaurants. For a different party vibe, Akasha in the nearby village of San Carlos is an interesting alternative.
