Here's news of yet another ibiza econogastronofest, this time in San Jose and this time with lots of free added music. It's the third annual Cañas'n'Roll (if you didn't know already a caña is a small beer) festival taking place in bars, not just in the village, but throughout the borough of San Jose.
The winning formula remains the same as before a beer or wine and a tapa cost only €2 together and there is live music and DJs in all the bars taking part, which makes for a great atmosphere as people to and fro between them all. In past years nearly all the bars have been packed to the rafters as people enjoy themselves to the full – let's face it, at these prices, you don't have to be Fibonacci or Vorderman to calculate that a lot more than you can consume costs a lot less than you've got in your pocket.
This year's dates are Saturdays and Sundays from 1st to 16th December and the public holiday on Thursday 6th when the bars involved will be, in no particular order – Es Verge, Es Mirador de sa Guaita, Es Galliner, Can Llorenc, la Movida, Can Jordi, Can Pa, Can Berri, Raco Verd and Sa Muntanya.
There's a diverse range of music on tap and many or the artists are based in San Jose itself and all the details of who, when and where can be found on a cut out and keep PDF on the Cañas'n'Roll webpage.
