After the stunning success of Tiesto at Privilege this year, many people would be forgiven for thinking that this was the only party worth heading to this summer.
However, how wrong could they be as parties like Monza and Meganite alone are drawing in the crowds on their own credit.
Certainly, Meganite – Wednesdays at Privilege – is the techno-fulled monster led by the one and only Mauro Picotto and has been running in Ibiza for five years now and is getting stronger and stronger still.
Meganite is a truly continental party, where you can find yourself raving alongside a group of Italians, Spanish, Dutch .... of even maybe someone from good old England.
The music is good quality underground techno, it´s hard but that´s how the crowd like it here !
With future guests to include Marco Carola, Gabry Fasano, Adam Beyer and Francesco Farfa and more to come, try to join in with the action.
As for Monza. This the minimal-tech party that has been sensational since it´s move to Privilege from Space last summer.
Always a favourite with the workers in Ibiza, this party draws in a really up-for-it crowd and a music policy that can vary from deepest minimal to some progressive tech-house – it all depends on what week you get there.
Unfortunately, Bookashade were meant to do a live set there recently which was cancelled, but the rumours are that it has just been re-scheduled. If that´s the case, then this will be one party not to miss !
Of course, Tiesto is still the main draw to Privilege – and possibly Ibiza, looking at the numbers each week – but if you´re looking for a minimal-tech or simply full on techno experience, then don´t miss out on Monza or Meganite this summer.
