The ‘Mish have once again demonstrated their knack for prescient PR coups with their booking of the Pete Doherty vehicle Baby shambles for their opening party next Monday (July 4). The notorious ex-Libertine has reportedly ‘wed’ his supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss at the muddy-yet-unbowed Glastonbury (UK) music festival last weekend.
This must stoke up the interest next week’s gig another couple of degrees, at least for the English tabloids who will no doubt descend on the venue en masse looking for shots of Moss with her hot pants round her ankles and Doherty collapsed in a Sa Peña smack den.

We can only wish the best of luck to whoever’s in charge of delivering indie music’s most wayward son to Privilege’s door.
And then there’s the small matter of looking after Barry Ashworth, arty rockers Fischerspooner, The Glimmer Twins, XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris, fans like Juliette Lewis and all the other sex addicts and freaks that make up the staff of the Manumission menagerie.
