Perhaps still regarded a niché market, fans of both live and electronic music will be well-catered at HEART Ibiza in 2019. The Marina Botafoch fine-dining and late night venue has invited German all-rounded Jan Blomqvist to curate two special shows. Both will be headlined by Herr Blomqvist and his band, with genre-pushing acts providing support.
Are we connected? Why do we dance? Do we need to disconnect a little from our day-to-day life? Are we even real? Or is it all fake?
The truth is on the dance floor. These questions and more will be answered there.
From the very beginning, Jan, Christian and Felix - the members who form Jan Blomqvist - have believed that the live performance of electronic music performed has been overlooked. 8-years into their relationship, they feel ready to present Disconnected live to Ibiza.
Modelled around the 2018 album of the same name, Jan promises the project will “shatter the boredom (in the club), bringing a concert feel to the dance floor with minimalist vocals and simple beats.” This is the rock'n'roll of the 21st century.
Jan Blomqvist and band are joined by further live performers, with Giorgia Angiuli and Ben Böhmer confirmed for the first party.
