Imagine sticking a webcam in a basement to record a DJ mix and becoming one of the most important music streaming platforms and culture incubators in the dance music industry? Well, that's exactly what happened to Boiler Room. Since 2010, it has dedicated itself to shining a light on emerging artists by putting them front and centre on audience's laptops, phones and tablets no matter where they are in the world.
After last year's sell-out one-off with BRAT instigator Charli XCX, Boiler Room lands back at Amnesia in 2025 for an extended run of dates.
Boiler Room began in London's underground scene, but has gone on to reach every corner of the world, with video archives that have become classics for top DJs - and, more often than not, the colourful faces of the crowd who surround the booth. Today, the platforms boast over 8000 performances by more than 5000 artists in 200 cities.
Remaining true to its history, Boiler Room connects both emerging and established artists from around the world. Priding itself on authenticity and passion for music and thrusting the spotlight on DJs with smaller profiles, Boiler Room's cultural impact cannot be overstated.
Last year, (A-Z) Call Super, Kelly Lee Owens, Kettama, Ladies Of Leisure (Charli XCX & Tove Lo), Romy (from The XX), Shygirl and Taylah Elaine all performed. This year's line up TBA.
Boiler Room Ibiza takes place on 12 and 19 June, 17, 24 and 31 July and 14 and 28 August.
