Review: Diynamic Outdoor at Beachouse

The German label’s showcase kicked off its beach season with Adriatique.

Diynamic, the label headed by Solomun, spreads its roots on the White Island with the second edition of Diynamic Outdoor. The residency, this time taking place at the stylish and wooden Beachouse, will bring the different label's capos through a variety of showcases to open the doors of its melodic deep house tunes for everyone, free of charge.

On Sunday night Beachouse was dressed up to celebrate the Diynamic Outdoor Opening Party during a night where the musical talent shone by itself. The characteristic Diynamic deep bouncy bass sounds made the people dance both in the beach and inside the club. Leading the white and well-adorned famous booth, were three of Diynamic's heavyweights: Magadalena, Karmon and Adriatique.

The Diynamic label was the focus of the night and that's what Beachouse wanted to shout from the rooftops, embellishing the club with miles of candleholder bags with the Diynamic door logo stamped on it. If there is something they are doing really well (apart from a fantastic music choice for this season) it is the club atmosphere which, without doubt, transports you to the essence of the party.

When the clock struck 7pm, we were crossing the large wooden walkway to get into the beach club. Magdalena was heating things up for us playing the first beats of the night and betting for pure deep house with cheerful melodies which motivated the people still arriving. The sun was going down (and so my mojito) so I took a moment to walk through the beach beds, less full than on Sundays but with the most stylish people of the island dancing to the rhythm of the beautiful Magdalena who handed over the reins to Karmon and stayed supporting him at the booth during his first tracks.

Karmon continued the same musical line as the German, leading into the tech-house genre during the first hour of his set including tracks like Tubular by Geddes & Alex Jones and Anatrack by Cristi Cons (which I recommended 100% if you haven't yet heard it). The music's intensity increased when the sun was completely gone and the room started to become really full. The public answer with a lot of energy to the fresh and subtle sounds that inform the Dutch artist's signature style, playing new themes like Who The Fuck Cares by Speaking Minds.

At 10 o'clock, the boys behind the Adriatique formation took the booth to strong applause. The duo offered a two hour DJ set which did not follow a concrete line, but went for varying rhythms and intensities. What started with soft and happy melodies, turned into pure tech-house music accompanied by strong beats that make the dancefloor's wooden boards shake. Can't Feel by Marino Canal, Run To You by Paul Keeley or Velocity by Steve Haines were some of the tracks that the Swiss duo knocked out during their set.

For sure The Godfather (Solomun) didn't want to miss his own label opening party, so was around the DJ booth to support his family during a night that was a complete success. Just to remind you, Diynamic will have its doors opened for all of you every Tuesdays at Beachouse Ibiza, surprising us each week with its most talented artists.
