Glitterbox Ibiza finds new digs

Heads up - your disco is on the move!.

With BOOOM out of action once and for all, Saturday night disco fever fiesta Glitterbox (an off-shoot of the iconic Defected parties) had to find a new home quick smart to accommodate its booty-shaking loyal fans. Well, the team has pulled it off; the mirror balls are rolling down Playa d'en Bossa as we speak, on their way to hang proudly in their new home of Space Ibiza's famous Terrazza.

Every Friday from its opening party on the 12th of June until the 25th of September, Glitterbox will bring the funk and sparkle to Space's terrace, cementing its position as a weekend favourite of island residents and holiday-goers alike. Glitterbox built its reputation in a mere half season, thanks to a playful and fun-loving, music-focused party ethos and the unstoppable marketing power of 'word of mouth'. But sure a little good press can't hurt, so we're pleased to present you with the Glitterbox season line-ups as they stand so far.

Very special guests Fatboy Slim, Hercules & Love Affair (live), Groove Armada, Todd Terje (live) and Julio Bashmore will appear together with a host of Glitterbox residents Joey Negro, Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco and Simon Dunmore and an extended cast that includes Tensnake, Breakbot, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Claudio Coccoluto, John Morales, Aeroplane, Juan MacLean, The Revenge, Lovebirds, FCL, Tim Deluxe, Kings Of Tomorrow, Mousse T, Norman Jay, Heller & Farley, DJ Pippi, Smokin' Jo, The Shapeshifters, Luke Solomon, Copyright, Purple Disco Machine, DJ Antz, Mr Doris, Mo' Funk and Shovell (Live On Percussion) who will all make guest appearances over the season, with more artists yet to be announced.

Some serious legends and refreshing curveballs in there, making up a line-up that will be, for most house music lovers, a glitter-soaked wet dream. Spotlight can't wait to pop a hip on Fridays on the Glitterbox DF.

Released on 31st May, Defected also presents Glitterbox Ibiza 2015, a new mix album that represents the night's musical spirit. Compiled and mixed by Defected's founder Simon Dunmore, the three mix set features some the biggest names in disco and house including Chaka Khan, Ten City, Salsoul Orchestra, Rare Pleasure and Lana Del Rey.
