This week, we stay on the west coast of Ibiza to take a look at the small and rugged beach of Cala Comte (Cala Conta in Castilian Spanish).
Accessible by car, bus, or even by ferry from San Antonio during the summer season, Cala Comte consists of two stretches of sandy beach backed by rocky terrain, with a more private third cove to be found at the far end, which is popular with nudists.
Three fun cruises that depart from San Antonio and visit the beach are: the daytime Beach Hop Cruise, the Meet the Sea family boat adventure and Meet the Sea Sunset, an adult-only gastronomic cruise with live music on board.
There is access for the disabled and sun loungers and parasols are, of course, available to hire.
With a few excellent bars and restaurants both on the beach and within walking distance in the surrounding vicinity, Cala Comte is another of Ibiza's most popular beaches and, as always, we advise you to arrive early if you are taking your car, or alternatively go along in the early evening and listen to the DJs playing their sounds against the backdrop of a spectacular sunset.
Litter disposal
Please make use of the coloured recycling bins when disposing of your litter and remember this is a non-smoking beach so please respect this. See our article on Responsible Smoking on Ibiza's Beaches.
