Don't believe the rumours, Ibiza's free party scene is alive and kicking!.

Ibiza Global Radio's fantastic two-day festival of pumping dance music returned to the sand of S’Arenal beach this past weekend, across 11 and 12 August. Once again, the good people of San Antonio took to the beach in their 1000s with the town fully embracing what has become the island's best free party.

Take no notice of the Negative Nancys spouting demonstrably false claims, the true Ibiza spirit is still alive and kicking. Just take a look at the faces in our photo gallery – all ages and generations are reflected and everybody's loving it.

Sonitec's powerful sound system could be heard as far away as San Augustin, so there was no danger of not letting Friday night headliners Roger Sanchez and Alex Kennon and Saturday night's Nic Fanciulli and AMÉMÉ find their groove.

With able support from a strong line-up of local and international DJs, plus some stirring live PAs, it was the headliners who naturally stole the show.

The event culminated on Saturday night with an excellent back-to-back by Nic Fanciulli and AMÉMÉ whose Afro and Tech House styles blended perfectly, with a few House classics thrown in too of course.

This festival looks like it's definitely going to be a permanent fixture in the annual event calendar. Make sure you add it to yours for next summer.
