Full moon kayak experience with Walking Ibiza/Ibiza Outdoors

1 August

Experience the mesmerizing allure of the full moon as you embark on a magical kayak excursion with outdoor specialists, Walking Ibiza and Outdoors Ibiza. The trip departs from near Santa Eulalia (next to ME hotel) and takes around 2.5 hours.

SAN CIRIACO

5 - 8 August

The festivities, centred around the revered Nuestra Señora de las Nieves (Our Lady of the Snows) on 5 August and the commemoration of San Ciriaco, Ibiza Town's patron saint, on 8 August, promise an unforgettable celebration.

Amidst the array of events, one spectacle not to be overlooked is the breathtaking firework display on 8 August, best enjoyed from the picturesque Ibiza port at the stroke of midnight. 

San Lorenzo Patron Saint Festivities

10 - 12 August

The village of San Lorenzo, which is located in the north of the island, celebrates its Patron Saint Day with a wide programme of activities this month, including magic, children's parties, live music, parades, sports and more. 

The main day will be 10 August, when the village holds a holy mass, a parade of traditional carts, typical dances known as ball pagés, and live music at night with the band, Esta me la sé!, and DJ Cardona.

On 12 August there will be live performances by local bands culminating in the traditional Flower Power party.   

Cala Llonga Patron Saint Festivities

15 August

The resort of Cala Llonga, close to Santa Eulalia, celebrates its patron saint fiesta in honour of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. As ever, the tiny resort organises a broad programme of activities for all ages in the days running up to and following the 15th.  

Enjoy musical performances and a vintage car parade, take part in the traditional sand castle contest, participate in beach sports, and indulge in other fun activities.

San Bartolome Fiesta in San Antonio

24 August

San Antonio’s annual fiesta features a wide programme of events, ranging from walks, activities for children, performances, gastronomic contests, and live music concerts, to markets and much more. Standout events are the traditional fireworks display that illuminates the entire Bay of San Antonio, the famous gastronomic contest "s'Ou", and the manic historical reconstruction known as Carthaginians vs Romans party on s'Arenal beach.

San Agustín Patron Saint Activities

28 August

This picturesque tiny village celebrates its patron saint's day with a programme of activities including water games and workshops for children, amazing live music performances and its very own watermelon party!


Perseid meteor shower

12 - 13 August

Popularly known in Spain as San Lorenzo's Tears, the Perseid meteor shower is one of the most anticipated dates of summer for astronomy fans. The peak time will be from 22:00 on 12 Aug (approx.) until 04:00 on Aug 13, when up to 200 meteors are visible per hour. Join Balearic Outdoor Adventures on a magnificent adventure that takes you on a hike far away from any light pollution to observe this amazing natural spectacle.


IbizaPreservation fundraising dinner @Beachouse Ibiza

13 August

Beachouse Ibiza is hosting a special fundraising dinner on Sunday 13 August to celebrate the 15th anniversary of IbizaPreservation's foundation.

Book your place for a gala evening and help contribute to IbizaPreservation's vital work in protecting and regenerating Ibiza and Formentera's natural beauty.

All attendees get a free-entry ticket to Club Chinois for the 2023 season and will have the chance to win fantastic prizes in a great raffle.

Pacha 50th anniversaRy

2 August from 17:00

Global entertainment empire Pacha Group is celebrating 50 years of Pacha Ibiza this summer and it just needed to throw a super-sized, super-cherried party, especially for the occasion. Thrusting together Destino's two giant residents, Solomun from +LIVE and Marco Carola from Music On Daytime, Pacha pairs them in a back-to-back for the first time ever.

IBIZA GLOBAL FESTIVAL

11 - 12 August 

After the success of last year’s inaugural edition, Ibiza Global Festival returns to s'Arenal beach in San Antonio for another two-day electronic music extravaganza. This eco-conscious event will showcase a diverse line-up of international headliners, local artists and Ibiza Global Radio's resident DJs. 

Head down to the grand stage overlooking the beach and the Ibiza sunset to catch great music, sample tasty street food and enjoy the best this amazing event has to offer.

PLAYA SOLEIL

Tuesdays, things get tropical and fruity with Melon Bomb and their Sandia party.

BLOOP International Proactive Art Festival

12 - 25 August

A unique multi-faceted festival devoted exclusively to proactive art, BLOOP returns for another year. Taking place in venues in and around San Antonio, Ibiza Town and San José, this amazing free jamboree is fun for kids and adults alike.

The festival has its own BLOOP Art FESTIVAL IBIZA APP, allowing users to explore the OpenAir Gallery through an interactive map, browse events, and win exclusive BLOOP prizes. 


REEL ADVENTURES


August is a boon for movie buffs with open-air cinema events held around the island.

OPEN-AIR SHORT FILM SCREENINGS IN SAN AGUSTIN

5, 12 and 19 August

The films are shown every Saturday at 22:00 at the kid's playground of San Agustín and feature a selection of short films of different genres and styles, ranging from comedy and music videos to a section of very short films. 

Open-air cinema in San José

Every Friday until 25 August 2023

Held in Ses Escoles Velles, on the outskirts of San Agustín, open-air cinema returns to the municipality of San José this summer. The event starts at 21:30. As every year, entrance is free and the programme includes movies in their original language for all tastes.

Open-air cinema in Sant Jordi

Every Saturday

This summer you can enjoy Meryl Streep's best films in a programme of free open-air cinema. The films will be shown in the Church Square of San Jordi every Saturday in August at 21:30.

Movies will be shown in their original language with Spanish subtitles.

Free family cinema on the beach in Cala Llonga

This year there are a total of six sessions in the programme. Films are shown at 21:30 every Sunday until 20 August.

All movies are shown in Spanish with English subtitles.

Culinary pop-up with chef Yossi Shitrit @Six Senses Ibiza

Every day except Mondays 

Renowned Israeli restaurant HIBA introduces a curated pop-up menu of culinary creations to Six Senses Ibiza during August. Six Senses Ibiza, on the island’s northern Xarraca Bay, collaborates with the celebrated restaurant HIBA from Israel, run by celebrity chef Yossi Shitrit. Combining the freshest Ibizan produce from the resort's organic farm with the cutting-edge gastronomic experience HIBA is renowned for, this exclusive pop-up will be hosted in the perfect seafront location - the intimate setting of the resort’s Secret Bar, located in The Beach Caves.


Four Hands Omakase dinner at Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay

Another culinary highlight this month is the Four Hands Omakase dinner at Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay on 11 & 12 August. This exclusive event comprises a mouth-watering 7-course menu prepared by star chefs Carlos Gómez (Nobu Barcelona Executive Chef) and Enrico Maimonte ((Nobu Ibiza Bay Executive Chef).
