Nutritious healthy fare served up in generous, well balanced portions is the hallmark of The Skinny Kitchen, a popular restaurant located at the far end of the port in San Antonio. It has a cool interior and a big terrace that affords splendid views out over the Bay and the green hills of San José beyond.
The Skinny Kitchen is just perfect for post-party eating with a wealth of breakfast and brunch options that are sure to please anyone, whether meat-eater, vegetarian or vegan.
Its fine range of delicious dishes from around the world extends to dinner, too. Definitely one for the health-conscious hedonist!
Our lunch got off to a flying start with this colourful, mouth-watering shoyu salmon poke bowl brimful of delicious, fresh ingredients.
It was accompanied by a tasty bruschetta with smashed avocado, perfectly poached eggs and an unexpected dash of tandoori sauce.
The Skinny Kitchen has plenty of healthy juices. This one, Ginger Spice, was a piquant mix of apple, pineapple, ginger, red pepper and turmeric.
The SK Gyros: succulent grilled & marinated chicken on sourdough with a mixed salad, hummus, tzatziki and seasoned fries. Filling and scrumptious!
Already sated, we still couldn't resist the offer of dessert: pancakes with banana, strawberries, and ice cream in a yummy chocolate sauce.
Now that you have had a glimpse of the fantastic food that awaits you, next time your body craves some wholesome fare from morning thru' night, head over to The Skinny Kitchen.
