Groove is in the heart | Solid Grooves selects

The Groovers shut down Privilege on 22 September with Solid Sundays.

Solid Grooves is the tech house outfit that continues to do things its own way, each and every Sunday at Vista Club throughout summer.

The Solid Grooves camp started the week celebrating Michael Bibi win at the DJ Awards. One of the party's founding members picked up the gong for Best Tech House DJ. The reaction from the audience explained how popular that decision was.

Later that same week, the Groovers find themselves handed the ultimate honour: the closing party on Sunday 22 September will be the final time the club opens its doors in 2019. Solid Grooves get the final hurrah at Privilege this summer.

Whirlwind weeks don't come much bigger. Not that the London party-starters have much time to recuperate after the season. The full crew is headed to Movement Torino Festival this Halloween. Aside from that, Bibi heads to Magazine London to launch his Isolate concept.

But before all that hoopla, we've still very much got Ibiza on the brain. One, admittedly massive, party may remain - but we were keen to find out what tracks have been doing the business at Solid Sundays this summer.

Here's what the residents had to say.

Michael Bibi

Richy Ahmed | Work Me | Objektivity

"A straight-up, peak-time party track - and my secret dance floor weapon."

Dimmish | Lunar | Solid Grooves

"The perfect track to lift the dance floor to another space, time and dimension."

PAWSA

Luuk van Dijk | Da Beat | SG Raw

"Da Beat has been going clean off all summer."

Dennis Cruz

Hector Couto | Salimo | Solä

"A groovy track with great percussion and a huge drop that always works the dance floor."

Detlef | Music Please | Repopulate Mars

"I've played this in most of my sets since Detlef set it to me. People go crazy for it."

Eddy M

Brokenears | Feeling Good | Underground Records

"I've played this track all the summer ever since I got the promo. Funky vibes, catchy piano riffs and a punchy 90's bassline - that makes it special for me. Every time I've played it everybody has been happy, dancing and having a good time."

David Aurel | Stand Up | MÜSE

"A lot of fun was had with this one, released on mine and Dennis Cruz's new label. I love the track because the bassline is really fat and builds perfectly in line with the groove. It's a rolling monster if you need to smash the dance floor. If you like old school hip-hop vibes it's the one."

Ramin Rezaie

Ray Mono | Esperanza (Brandub 'Space' Remix) | Moxy Musik

KOKO | House Weekend | INFUSE

"I've been playing this track out all summer, it really breaks up your set with its well-balanced pads and chords. Also, as the kick is thumping it's never too light to throw into a peak time slot."

Reelow

DJOKO | Atomic Pulse | e1evens Records
