The beautiful and charming village of San Mateo (Sant Mateu d'Albarca in Catalan) celebrates its festivities on 21 September, the day of its Patron Saint. Among the events commemorating the apostle, the big day includes a popular procession that starts from the church and walks around the village, followed by traditional dances and other activities such as tastings of typical products and concerts.
Highlights of this year's programme include:
- Sunday 08 September - Children's foam party
- Saturday 14 September - Great Flower Power party at 22:00.
- Sunday 15 September - Sant Mateu Popular Race, from 9:15.
- Saturday 21 September - Big day of San Mateo with mass, traditional dances, tasting of typical products and dinner with musical performance. All from 12:00.
- Sunday 22 September - The play Una mare arreveixinada by the Grup de Teatre des Molí.
