While the sun's been glimpsed holding its almighty position in the sky for slightly longer, we've been getting wind of the long line of music masterminds who'll be taking their spot to chaperone you from the dark, star-filled sky into the scorching sunshine. It's been a mega past week for Ibiza Spotlight, with a flooding of announcement ammo dropping every day and while we know we've caught your attention, reminders are crucial.


Nick Warren returns to Eden with Soundgarden

2016 is a big year for Nick Warren as it's his 25th on the island and he's a man on a mission to celebrate with his Eden residency. The Soundgarden is back on Sundays for round two and it's returning for 15 deadly dates with one of London's hottest promoters Audio Circuit. A very special experience for the senses has been promised by the duo, with guests arriving in the form of progressive producers Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy Mantzur, as well as Manuel de la Mare, Davi and Henry Saiz.

Es Paradis opening party

The glam-packed, visually dazzling club is opening its enticing doors on Saturday 21st May with resident Steeve Valverde being confirmed to stimulate your dancing needs. At Es Paradis, a lot of love goes into the production shows which is why it's become a must-visit hotspot on the island. The opening party is of course the season leader so you can expect it to be extra special. Steeve Valverde will be joined by other guest DJs, stay tuned for the full line-up.

HYTE's second season at Amnesia

Amnesia gave the techno addicts another reason to enter its doors in 2015: HYTE's debut season. The international promoter that champions the fiercest in techno from Chile to Berlin, has said “YES TO ALL” and is resuming its position on Wednesday 1st June for its pre-opening party. Back in for the mix will be Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot, Mar-T, Cuartero, Caleb Calloway and DJ Harvey. We'll also welcome Maya Jane Coles, Henrik Schwarz as Schwarzmann, Enzo Siragusa and his FUSE team, who'll have their own residency, and we have an Ibiza exclusive with critically-claimed Caribou confirmed for an exclusive live show with his band.

Carl Cox's second wave line-up

More season setting news is in from the booth master Carl Cox with a strong list of guests joining him for his final season at Space. Music Is Revolution has added John Digweed, Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink and Jon Rundell, Luciano, Pan-Pot, Carl Craig, Magda and Deetron to its 15-week billing. We're waiting for confirmation on who'll be claiming each date, but all you need to really know is 14th June until 20th September.

Solid Grooves at Vista Club Privilege

London label and party, Solid Grooves, is heading to Vista Club at Privilege in 2016. The action kicks off on Thursday 9th June and will run every week thereafter for 12 weeks. Music wise, your ears will be tuned into a fine fusion of tech and house with the full list of guest DJs due to be announced shortly. Residents confirmed are PAWSA, Leftwing & Kody, Detlef, Dennis Cruz and Solid Grooves founder, Michael Bibi.

Pukka Up Sunday sails

Sundays have been added to Pukka Up's summer sailing schedule, but on this day it's all about the VIP experience baby. Champagne flutes on arrival, luxury VIP day beds and onboard table service will leave you feeling like a royal specimen. The first exclusive party – limited to 200 people – is set for Sunday 26th June and will continue for 13 weeks. You'll set sail at 6pm (5pm in September), take in some of the island's stunning coastline, and as night draws in you'll have front row seats for one of Ibiza's famous sunsets, with the perfect soundtrack provided by Pukka Up residents and special guest DJs. Once on dry land you can continue to party like a VIP at Amnesia with entrance to its ‘House of Madness' party included in the Pukka Up ticket price (€75), as well as entrance to Ocean Beach Ibiza the following Wednesday or Saturday.

Together's third line-up phase

The pulsating drops keep coming from the Together mob with yet more artists taking their position for the bass heavy residency at Amnesia. Added to its already hefty bill is Armand van Helden, garage innovator DJ EZ, electro maestro Fritz Kalkbrenner, pirate radio stars Kurupt FM and super group Pendulum, plus there'll be a debut from London-based MC, Stormzy. We'll also get a sample of Camelphat, Hector Couto, Kidnap Kid, Mistajam, My Nu Leng, Novelist, Paul Woolford and Preditah. Bag a bassline date from 7th till 20th September.

Hot Since 82 Insane at Pacha

The Brit producer got behind the Insane pack in 2015 and he's back for 2016 with three dates on 24th June, 15th July and 5th August. This season however, he'll be making a Balearic debut with his imprint Knee Deep In Sound and after already meeting success in New York, Barcelona and Berlin, we predict the rave reactions to follow. Guest DJs selecting the tracks alongside the hot stuff are still to be announced.

Music On's fifth season

Music On is undoubtedly a major highlight for Ibiza's clubbers, so it's a good job Marco Carola's devotion to the White Isle hasn't waned as he's bringing it back for its fifth year. The Napoli don's Friday fiesta, with its rep as the longest running party on the island, returns on 3rd June with the “MUSIC ON” chants to follow suit. Get ready to dance into the sunshine folks.

Afterlife at Space on Thursdays

Finally the question mark was lifted from the dark void that was left by ENTER. and we now know that filling the Thursday slot in 2016 is a collection of artists from Life and Death, Innervisions and Dystopian – curated by Italian maestros Tale Of Us. Afterlife will arrive on Balearic shores on 7th July and explore our senses until 29th September. The line-up is taking strong form with Dixon, Mano le Tough, Recondite, Rødhåd, Mind Against and Voices From The Lake, all confirmed to appear. We'll also be in for a sonic laden treat with special live shows from Todd Terje, The Howling and David August.

Tribal Sessions' full line-up

In 2016 we have Sankeys Sabados presents Tribal Sessions with the Sankeys Sabados team continuing its drive to support new talent on the island. In its third season, Tribal Sessions is making history with a total run of 26 weeks, making it the longest weekly summer residency ever on Ibiza's shores. In behind the clan is Matt Jam Lamont, Jozef K, Manu Gonzalez, first winner of Sankeys Sabados competition Kellie Allen, Miguel Campbell, Minota, Riton, Secondcity, Lee Walker, Busy P, Boston Bun, Hector, Tube & Berger, UNER and Bontan. ‘Alien Avatar' is 2016's concept with it shining a blue torch over the basement club every Saturday into an extraterrestrial jungle.
