Multi-disciplinarian Jan Blomqvist has announced his return to Ibiza. After standout performances at both Cova Santa and Sankeys in previous years, Jan and his band land at HEART for two shows in 2019. Welcome to Disconnected.
Tellingly, these special events bookend the season, with a showcase at either end of the summer. The first takes place on Thursday 30 May, whilst the encore is scheduled for Thursday 3 October - a real disconnect between the two. We're certain that's no coincidence.
The name, of course, comes from the outfit's masterpiece 2018 album. Fans will anticipate live renditions of all the tracks from the LP, plus - we hope - some new material to boot.
Armed with haunting vocals and lyrics that provide searing social analysis, we can't wait to see what the German singer-songwriter and composer has planned.
HEART's intimate stage is the ideal setting for such a show. He is not that only live musician that the venue is championing. The Marina Botafoch hotspot has already confirmed fellow live performer, Satori, for his weekly Maktub residency.
We're thrilled that the nightspot continues to support entertainment in this format, thus providing a different facet to Ibiza's varied nightlife.
Get ready for some emotionally-charged electronic music. Or, as Jan himself would describe it, concert techno. Support comes from fellow live specialists Giorgia Angiuli and Ben Böhmer on the first date, meaning you really get a lot for your money.
